MGM: New Bond Movie Confirmed For 2012

Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer has announced that the 23rd James Bond movie is a go! The film will begin production later this year for a Nov. 9, 2012 premiere.
Daniel Craig will return as the legendary British secret agent, with Sam Mendes directing. Neal Purvis, Robert Wade and John Logan will write the screenplay.
Confirmation of the project and its key components has been long awaited, with MGM sorting through bankruptcy and Spyglass taking over its filmmaking operations.

Well it's about damn time! Very glad to see that Craig is still Bond and that they were able to keep Mendes as the director (he was rumored in, and then rumored out). | |

I remember reading about "the demise of the Bond series" on Entertainment Weekly.

I care ZERO about Bond, but if this also means a solid release date for MGM's Cabin in the Woods (I know. I know.
