Wow....................if he could stay clean he could get a job.
Great voice. | |

He said he was 2 years clean. If he's been sober maybe its an issue of confidence and opportunity?
I hope someone gives him a chance, sounds like that all he needs.

That man will have a solid job by the end of the month. The career-launching platform that is Youtube will not fail him.

The story doesn't end there. The clip is gaining traction on YouTube and commenters have already begun offering Williams possible job opportunities in Columbus.
And a local morning radio show - Dave and Jimmy on Clear Channel-owned WNCI - will be interviewing Williams Wednesday and has hinted it might offer him work. "We're going to find some way to help this guy!" the morning duo proclaims on the show's Facebook page.
fingers crossed | |

'Golden-voiced' homeless man lands radio spot YouTube video becomes sensation, draws attention of Ohio show
COLUMBUS, Ohio — An Internet video of a homeless man showing off his self-described "God-given gift of a great voice" has landed him a spot on a local radio show.
A reporter from the Columbus Dispatch came across Ted Williams while Williams was panhandling near Interstate 71 recently. Williams was carrying a sign explaining he was a former radio announcer who had fallen on hard times.
"Any help will be gratefully appreciated," the sign said.

As evidenced by Williams' new haircut, what a difference a day makes. A mere 24 hours after the video went viral, Williams says he's already been offered a bunch of employ...ortunities, including one that's a Ohio citizen's dream job. "The Cleveland Cavaliers just offered me a full-time job and a house," Williams revealed. The Cavs will reportedly have to compete against MTV, the NFL and likely countless more suitors for Williams' services.

I am soooo glad this didn't turn out to be a thread about one of those tired ass amateur singers that everyone raves about these days because we've got too many of them already.
I saw him on the "Today" show this morning. I've heard that voice before (well, similar voices back in the days when DJs had to actually sound professional). He definately has a nice, friendly, silky voice that would be very pleasing to hear announcing songs on a morning show. I'm glad to see he's got some offers and I wish him much success. I just hope he can get off the drugs and stay off them. On the "Today" show this morning, he looked to me like he was restless in his seat like maybe he was feaming for the drugs. I just hope he was only nervous because he has a great future ahead of him and I'd hate to see him blow it. Andy is a four letter word.

What an awesome chance at new life this guy is getting of late. I pray he can keep himself in line enough to take advantage of it. Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου
