I only get plain black coffee at Starbucks (and the occasional hot chocolate).
But I love their pastries. They have a very berry coffee cake that is unbelievably good.
So is there lowfat banana choc chip cake
Yeah, that's not bad. I don't like the combo of banana and chocolate usually, but the banana flavor is muted enough in that to make me like it. |

White chocolate mocha if I do Starbucks, which is rare. McDonald's hooked me with their caramel mocha. Still longing for 7-11! Say hi to Chico for me John, I'm still trying to be there this summer!
BTW, a man looks so hot with whipped cream on his upper lip....I would not be revoking cards lol. |

A grande black eye in a venti cup (coffee with two shots of espresso - and I order a size down in the bigger cup so I get the full size I paid for, but still have room for my non-fat milk).
Or, get ready. A quad, grande, non-fat, no whip, light chocolate mocha. In the winter I sometimes order a quad, mint, grande, non-fat, no whip, light chocolate mocha. And in the summer sometimes it's raspberry. |

I believe this post qualifies you for (at least) honorary gay status.

Mocha (hot). I'm actually not a big fan of Starbucks. Makes my pee smell funny. I prefer Coffeesmiths which I think is local to the Cedar Rapids, Iowa area. Not quite as strong. And I love the McDonalds mocha frappe. Shake it til ya make it |

It's really not that bad. Maybe the light chocolate is a little obnoxious. That's a fairly new addition, though. I tried a latte, but that didn't work, so light chocolate it is! Anyway, it's better than the people who stand there asking questions while they're trying to describe what they want and then say everything out of order. I say everything in the correct order - they love me.
Oh, I only get the flavors a few times a year. |

I make coffee at home more now than ever, even if I'm taking it with me (a good thermos changed my mind about all that). I probably only go to a Starbucks or Peet's three or four times a month these days. But there have been times when I was working someplace where the work coffee was crap and one of those coffee shops was on the next block (or literally right across the street, which happened with a Peet's) when I was going as many as ten times a week (just for regular coffees, and the Peet's would give me the refill price if I brought my cup back for the second trip). The number of times I've been to some kind of coffee shop is easily in the thousands. Probably approaching five thousand since I got heavily into coffee in my early twenties. Don't think I haven't considered what all that coffee cost, either. |

Starbucks gets a bad rap, but at least they sell a good product.
They are not like McDonalds, selling disgusting things. |

I prefer Peet's, and I may prefer Dunkin Donuts if we had them around here, but we don't. The thing for me with Starbucks is that it's consistently good. And it's the consistent part that really matters to me. Rarely have I ever been to a Starbucks and ordered something that didn't taste the way I was expecting it to. There's a lot to be said for that. |

yes, you might prefer another coffee (and I make my own 99% of the time), but Starbucks is always good.
When you travel, you never know. I recently went to the mom & pop place right next to Starbucks, and it was awful! The next day we went to the Starbucks.
I might hate them if they were popularizing bad coffee, but that is not the case. They did make a cup of coffee more expensive, however... |

I almost never go there anymore but for a while I’d get myself a treat on Friday mornings and get a tall, non-fat, no-whip mocha.
I went through a grande mocha frappucino phase at one point in my life as well.
I actually prefer a local chain here called Dunn Bros, but if they aren't around, Starbucks is usually the next best option.
These days I mostly stick to my tea. That I make myself. Every morning. |

Yes, but they held off raising their prices for a fairly long time. We're getting near to having enough Peet's in the Bay Area that I can choose to go there instead of Starbucks. And since Peet's coffee is obviously stronger than Starbucks , I usually do. But I'm never unhappy to go to a Starbucks. And I'll never understand people who think they have bad coffee. Most of those people would never have had coffee that didn't come out of a can in their kitchens if it weren't for Starbucks. |

I have not, but I'll look out for them when I travel.
There are very few places to get a decent cup of tea here. I'm so used to brewing my own, it's just habit now. |

I do enjoy chai but I generally don’t brew my own, no. I’m not sure why that is.
I stick to fairly basic black teas, but with all the different kinds (Ceylon, English breakfast, Darjeeling, Assam, etc.) I get such a nice variety.
I’m also fairly caffeine sensitive, so I generally only make one pot (3 tea cups worth) on weekends and one 16 oz. thermos for weekdays. I really could add more variety in now and again. |

Yep. I think you could get along with The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf And that's not even their menu, just what you can order online. Looks like they have some menu exclusives, too.
Unfortunately, "Please know that, at this time, our Domestic stores are only in California, Arizona, Nevada, Hawaii, Texas, Michigan, Alabama and Florida."
