I HONESTLY thought this is what this thread would be about, but I was fully prepared for it to be about something else.

I really like Nutella, but for some reason I almost NEVER buy it. I'm definitely a honey fan. Both light and dark. And I like most any kind of jam/preserves, but I'm not a fan of a lot of jellies.

But peanut butter is easily my favorite (I love almond and cashew butter, too). And hummus (plain or flavored) would be a close second. I guess hummus is probably considered a dip, but I do an awful lot of spreading with it.

Ooo! There's a few spreadable cheeses I like, too. But I don't have them often.

i can't believe its not butter..esp the olive oil meditteran blend. i could eat that out the container...unsweeted butter is awesome too. my cat loves it too. always put extra for her to lick off bagels and bread...

i never thought of Mayo / Miracle Whip as a spread - i use it as a dressing

I must admit that the more common brands such as Jiffy, Skippy or Calvé taste a bit better but this product above contains less sugar and , as far as I can tell, no hydrogenated fats.

I also like honey but I only eat local honey from the region where I live because I think it is better for my immune system to eat honey that contains exactly the pollen spectrum of the area where I live.

I find Nutella waaaaay to sweet for my taste but I like Zentis Nusspli, which is pretty much the same as Nutella but not as dark and with less sugar....but it still has too much fat and sugar so I simply don´t buy it.

And I love this stuff here....especially in the wintertime and mixed with grape molasses...but since grape molasses contain a lot of natural sugar, I try not to eat it very often.

It´s called tahin in Turkish and the grape molasses stuff is called pekmez:

I'm guessing Tahin is what I can buy on the shelf here as Tahini, and I love it! Especially on some sourdough toast instead of peanut butter. Never tried mixing it with anything sweet - but I will be very soon.

People also mix it with honey instead of grape molasses. In fact, certain brands come with the honey already in it.

It is also one of the main ingredients in hummus....but then you have to mix it with chickpea paste and olive oil, sprinkle some pepper on it and add a dash of lemon juice.

It is also considered a strong aphrodisiac if you eat it regularly.

does kethup count? that's a dip.. hmm I put it on my grilled cheese, rice, eggs...
