I think it's so stupid and immature when I see people with statuses like that.

When people vent all their dirty laundry in their status updates.

Stupid.

Facebook is useless. See, the problem is - as you found out - that the better you let everyone know you're doing, the more jealous they get. And then that crud starts.

You don't have 874 friends. You probably have 3 or 4.

Spend time with them in person, rather than blowing your own horn to a bunch of people that don't care.

what too many people fail to realize is that EVERYTHING on the internet is just a side dish on the big plate that is life... NONE of this shit really matters, NONE of it...

sure it's great for getting info, sharing pics and playing games but that's all it is... a giant rumpus room of human diversion...

Am I thinking of someone else, or did you not post some FB drama not too long ago about a guy you were messing with and not wanting him to associate with some chick you both knew on FB for some reason (or her not wanting him to associate with you)?

lol

That's hardly drama.

I wanted the window to my life shut for a certain person. One dude didn't do it, I was pissed for a day about it. I've moved on.

You spoke of withholding sex.

From the male perspective, it gets no more dramatic than that. biggrin

Or evil. mad

As Emeril Lagasse would say, "BAM!" nod

Although I will admit that I do see the advantages of using it for small business and charity organizations. The micro management/advertising/p.r. aspect of Facebook is awesome, and I have seen some friends really flourish as self-employed people by putting it to use. I have no interest in having a Facebook in my house because I don't like the idea of strangers having a window into my life, yet I could see myself being open to creating a page specifically for a business or community service endeavor.

I removed almost all of my Czech friends. I have only friends I can't talk to in real life.

^^^^ This.

FB was never a problem for me, it actually helped me track down a few people that knew a man that wanted to be in a relationship with me.

I met him online. Never.again.

He called me with a different number once. I have caller ID, so I looked the name up on FB. I found her, turns out she was his current fiance` that he neglected to tell me about. He also neglected to tell me that she gave him herpes.

I quickly ended that biz and he never got a chance to start anything real with me or infect me with his dieases. Thank God for FB!!!

you're a pillar

a rock

facebook is just fine

unless you're one of those

that live your life thru it

posting every mundane thought that pops up

surrounding yourself by friend whores

it's great to connect or reconnect

but its just as great to shut it down

and live in the real world

How is it you feel?

I can honestly say I've never experienced any drama on Facebook. Everyone I've "friended" is a grown-up - and I've never posted anything I wouldn't put on a billboard. shrug

We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

The thing with FB is I know loads of people that accept anyone as friends wether they know them or not neutral

You wouldn't be comfortable with a stranger calling you on the phone and asking how your day was lol

I never add strangers or work colleagues disbelief

Fuck the funk - it's time to ditch the worn-out Vegas horns fills, pick up the geee-tar and finally ROCK THE MUTHA-FUCKER!! He hinted at this on Chaos, now it's time to step up and fully DELIVER!!

one of our former interns recently got BUSTED for posting confidential information about one of our customers on the intern's pet's facebook page. (the customer was googling themselves and found the post.)

lessons:

1. do not post confidential information from your workplace on the internet

2. if you are stupid enough to do #1, make sure your privacy settings are on lockdown

this particular intern had a stank attitude the entire semester and was a terrible intern so i could only surmise karma had worked her magic.

The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found. Therefore, everything seen–every object, that is, plus the process of looking at it–is a Duchamp.
