The Patriots are the kings of the choke, despit their wins, i still lump them in with the Bills, Broncos, Vikings and yes the Atlanta Braves who to me were the best baseball team from 1990-2002 but only one once despite being the division winners every single year. But as a lifelong jet fan, i know this all too well, dont let this go to your head, because you still have to beat Pitt and we cant forget that both Green Bay and Chicago made the Jets look silly in two different ways, so by no means beating what i felt was the best team gets them anywhere yet....

Manning is probably the best regular season qb of our time but he doesn't impress

me as a big game playoff qb. That's where he fails to me and don't hand me the injury

excuse this season. All teams deal with injuries. Right now if you talk about big game

playoff qb's Brady is number 1 and Big Ben is number 2.

Peyton has always been a playoff choker. nod

Y'all aren't being fair. Football is a team game. Peyton gave his team the lead last week. It's not his fault special teams gave up a 48-yard return(or his dumbass coach called that timeout). Brady, Big Ben, all the top QBs(even Joe Montana) have had playoff flops, but for some reason, Peyton Manning gets more hate. Shit, without him, the Colts would be lucky to win five games.

Rex and the Jets talked it and walked it. Great defensive game plan, big plays by Sanchez and his WRs and LT. I give them a shot against the Steelers. Gotta put Revis on Wallace.

Life isn't fair. evillol Peyton's record in the playoffs is abyssmal. I said earlier in the season that the 3 teams NOBODY should ever fear in the playoffs are the Colts, the Chargers, and the Titans. regardless of what their regular season records are these teams suck in the playoffs.

And Peyton wasn't a big game winner in college either. Some things just aren't going to change, I guess.

I agree with you finally Adisa. lol

Peyton usually always have the best offensive weapons in football. Imagine if Brady or

Big Ben had the offensive weapons Peyton always have.

Brady, Big Ben, nor Joe Montana has a losing record in playoff games. Peyton does.

The proof is in the pudding. Those 3 qb's also have won more than 1 Super Bowl.

All this talk of choking is ridiculous. Players who regularly win ten plus games are not chokers. Teams who regularly make it to the playoffs (and win playoff games) are not chokers. Some of y'all need a better understanding of that word. lol

Folks are rough. They expected Peyton to have three, four rings by now. With the salary cap, parity and the injury factor, it's so difficult to win multiple SBs. Just getting there is a feat. In today's NFL, you won't see teams do what the 90s Bills did(four straight appearances), or being able to keep most of their stars like the early 90s Cowboys and 49ers.

?????????eek I wouldn't call three Super Bowl Wins in four years choking, now the Bills of the 90's and the Vikings of the 70's fit the description for sure. The 90's Braves and the 90's Broncos don't because they eventually got over the hump.

It's very likely, but not impossible. The thing that makes me laugh, though, is that the Colts and Patriots are the two teams that have consistently been great in the last decade and they're the teams people are calling chokers. lol If you look at their stats compared to the rest of the league that just makes no dang sense at all.

I don't know what happened...they just didn't show up to play on the most important game of their season. Oh well. Now it's time for the Celtics and then before you know it preseason football will be back. Better luck next year!

Jets defense had a lot to do with that. They mixed up coverages and blanketed his receivers, which led to coverage sacks. They popped Welker when he caught the ball, and kept YAC(yards after catch) to a minimum. Pats defense was suspect all year long, and it showed. Plus Belichick made some head-scratching moves.

Oh come on folk. Let's not make it that serious. There was only one guy in this thread who called

out teams or players as chokers and he rarely posts in GD. Myself and Adisa never labeled Peyton

or the Colts a choker. Speaking for myself i just simply said Peyton isn't a big game qb(PLAYOFFS FOR FOLKS WHO CAN'T UNDERSTAND) lol He is one of the best qb's of all time definitely top

ten when you base it on regular season stats but if i want a qb who generally gets it done in

the playoffs give me Tom Brady(although he has lost his last 3) or Big Ben.

I was divided. Although i don't care for the Patriots a part of me wanted another shot at them.

I thought with those two teams winning like 5 of the last 7 or 8 Super Bowls it should have

come down to those two for the AFC title but a part of me also like the idea of playing at home

for the title. I was happy but i didn't like the Jets bush league antics after the game like Braylon

Edwards doing cartwheels on the field after the game. I never liked that dude when he played for

the Browns and his man crush hate on LeBron James. He was always an asshole that ran his mouth but when you're not used to winning you act a whole different way.

They won a huge game, if I could do backflips like that I would have too! They were pretty impressive!!!

All teams need to shut the fuck up with the smack talk. It's immature. Enough with the pushing and shoving too...save it for the plays and take out your agression that way. Boys will be boys I guess....

I'm not sure why he landed a job with another team when he let down his last team, but then again he ws hired by Ron Rivera, who just took over the head coaching job with the Carolina Panthers. He deserved a head coaching job four years ago after the way he built the Bears defense as their defensive coordinator and helped take them to the Super Bowl.
