I hope he does. The way most people feel about Belichick is how I feel about Ryan. I think he's a colossal douche. |

Chile relax. I STILL think he comes off as a full of himself prick and it has nothing to do with him being a winner. Everytime he gives an interview or when I've seen him in person he irks me and comes off as disingenuous. That's MY gut instinct and impression and I'm entitled to my opinion. |

Yes.
To me, Jay Cutler = Eli Manning.
I'm begining to fear the Bears (and Cutler) could put a string of games together like the Giants to beat the Pats in '07.
On a personal note, I was at that Super Bowl. My brother and I parked about two miles from the stadium. The walk back to the car hearing Giants fans chant 18 and 1 was the longest two miles of my life. EVER........
I think my brother and I might have said a total of seven words to each other the entire walk. |

That's the key to beating the great QBs - can you get a pass rush with your front four, especially late in the game? Giants had that(and still do). |

Seattle might be on one of those magic runs, like Arizona two years ago. And I don't know what to expect from Cutler, so I think that game will be close. Bears pull out the win, and play Green Bay in the NFC Championship. |

It's possible. I've always liked Pete Carroll's enthusiasm. As happy as I was for the Saints last year, their fans have been nothing but annoying so part of me was happy to see them get waxed. Have ya'll noticed all the Saints related commercials airing ALL season? They were too ironical this weekend and I had a good belly laugh every time one came on. I wonder if they're gonna pull those ads? |

Having experienced a Pete Carroll run in New England, I may be a bit biased. But to me, he seems too much like a Barry Switzer rah rah guy to be effective in the NFL. It's like he wants to be liked by the players a bit too much. And these are men he's trying to lead now, not boys. He really seems more suited for college.
Uptown you may be right as anything can happen in the playoffs. But I think Seattle is ripe for an ass smashing now.
Re the commercial, I found that funny too. The commercial itself was great, but seeing it run right after they lost was brilliant. |

Well, if Cutler has one of those 4 INT games, anything can happen.
BTW, congrats to ex-Patriot and Jet Curtis Martin. He was announced as one of the 15 finalists for the HOF Class of 2011. Hope he gets in.

Ol' Barry! Yeah, that's exactly who he is. I think it's refreshing in this league full of vanilla, cardboard coaches. It's fun to watch and I think he's learned a lot since his first foray into the pros. But I love Barry always thought he was a sexy ol' white man. He was a skrait pimp kickin' it at the skrip club with his players.
Last year, the morning after the Pacquiao fight in Dallas I went to a local restaurant for brunch. There were two couples sitting at the next table. The one with their back to us was an obviously older dude (60s-70s) with a much younger chick (30s-40s). So I'm eating and I keep noticing sugar daddy stroking honey's back and thighs and whispering in her ear and shit. I can't see his face but he's really putting on the charm. When they finish eating, they get up to leave and daddy glances my way, smiles and winks at me. Lo and behold it's ol' Barry, limping like he had hip surgery, using a cane, but STILL a skrait playa pimp. I'd still fuck Barry. [Edited 1/10/11 9:14am] |

I'm telling you, Barry has ALWAYS been a playa, playa! He gets it from his daddy. I remember hearing a story about his father abandoning the family for a black woman and sista ended up shooting and killing his father or some shit. That's always stuck out in my mind considering it was 1930s Oklahoma.
When I used to work at Tony Dorsett's restaurant Barry used to come in all the time cuz it was the only restaurant near the Cowboys practice facility. He's one of the most charming men I've ever met. Not creepy or nasty like Hef. I'd fuck Barry down, bad hip and all and you know how I feel about pink meat. |

Nnamdi Asomugha to become a free agent;
By Adam Schefter ESPN Archive
Pro Bowl cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha's contract voided and he will be allowed to become a free agent without the Oakland Raiders being able to use their franchise tag on him, according to an NFL Players Association document.
Asomugha’s deal included a little-known clause that said his contract would void if he didn’t achieve his not-likely-to-be-earned incentives in 2010 -- and he didn'’t.
His contract also contained a stipulation that if he didn’t achieve his incentives, the Raiders would agree not to designate him their franchise or transition player.
To achieve his incentives, Asomugha had to play in a greater number of defensive plays in 2010 than he did in 2009, and this season Asomugha played in only 14 games whereas he played in all 16 in 2009.
He also could have achieved his incentives by improving upon on his interceptions, fumble recoveries or sacks this season -- but he didn't have any interceptions, fumble recoveries or sacks this season.
He will be the top defensive player available whenever free agency begins.
Can you picture him and Revis together? I'd love to have him on the Giants, but we need an impact LB first. |

Won't happen with Revis's contract and the money tied up at the position with
Cromartie and rookie Kyle Wilson. I would love to see him in Black and Gold too
as CB is the only position from keeping the Steelers defense from being dominant
but it ain't the Steelers way to sign big money free agents. Don't laugh at my funk

Seems REALLY lame of the Raiders to allow the stipulation that they can't franchise him. There's nobody else on their worth sticking it on. |

You've heard of the 12th Man, right? Those legendary over-caffeinated Seattle Seahawks fans who make Qwest Field one of the most difficult locations for any NFL visiting team? With the noise created from almost 70,000 crazy fans, this bunch has helped offenses facing Seattle at home to more false starts than in any other stadium in the last five years.
But when running back Marshawn Lynch(notes) got off what may have been the greatest run in playoff history in the Seahawks' 41-36 wild-card win over the defending Super Bowl champion Saints, those fans took things to a new, historic, and positively seismic level.
The 12th Man caused an earthquake.
At 4:43 p.m. PT on Saturday, almost exactly the same time that Lynch was bouncing off eight different Saints defenders for the touchdown that sealed the Seahawks' upset win, the Pacific Northwest Seismic Network recorded a small tremor from a monitoring system right by the Old Kingdome, which was blown up years ago to make room for the new baseball and football stadiums.
According to the PNSN, the tremor was recorded at just that one location (the "SoDo" -- or "South of the Dome" area). |
