"Cheesy" weird dreams

I've read that eating cheese few hours before going to bed gives you weird dreams. Is it true?

I think it happens because your stomach works hard and you can't fall into "deep" sleep. It's similar like lucid dreams where you are aware of dreaming.

People say you can use even melatonin to have really crazy dreams, but it's not for sale in Czech republic.

Chantix commercials warn side effects include unusual dreams.

Is there a usual dream?

I once dreamt I was a prod assistant on MTV sports when Mila Kunis skydived.

Swear to God.

I'm not sure there's a metric for this kinda thing. Which is most of the reason I hate Inception. Why is all of dreaming in that film boiled down to mapmaking and Call of Duty?

I don't have to "take" anything to have weird dreams.

I've never noticed any difference in my dreams when I've eaten cheese before going to bed. (And I've done that a lot over the years.) Cheese actually helps me sleep better - because the fairly high fat content keeps my blood sugar stable through the night. Keeps me from waking up from a drop in my blood sugar.

That's what I need!

I don't know if it's true about that cheese thing. Somebody said it changes just the fact that you remember your dreams and that people have weird dreams everyday - you just don't remember them.

I dream a lot...

I never had a black & white dream until a few yrs ago when I read that most ppl dream in b&w... it's usually in 'technicolor' and I'm often aware of stuff using all of my senses.. like, if I touch a tree, I can tell the roughness or smoothness of the bark...

I've also had the "Inception" kind a few times; I wake up from a dream and am telling somebody about it -- only to [really] wake up from that dream hmph! lol

What? Dream in b&w? eek That's cool! I usually see myself - my dreams are more like a movie.

Don't tell me about it..sometimes alarm-clock wakes me up, then I go to toilet, to the bathroom, I hate a breakfast...and then I can hear alarm clock lol

sometimes I dream I'm me, and the perspective is like real life; other times it's me, but I'm observing me and others/whatever's going on in the dream (like you would see watching tv or something - 'cept there's no tv.. lol )...

-- annoying tho when it switches back and forth between perspectives (usually if something in the dream is upsetting.. if it's something I don't want to experience, I'll suddenly become the disembodied observer... hmph! lol )

I read that if you see your reflection in a dream, like in a mirror, that you'll wake up.. I get that, too.. lol

a few times I dreamt I was sombody else -- someone I don't know/have never even seen before.... that's weird, too.. lol I'm glad it's rare..

wow this is freaky!!!

i dream all the time, and in black n white 2... i never realised dreams were colour!!!!

i remember snippets of my dreams... some i rather forget

i used to try and analyse them too... but they are be way too confusing, so now i try not to think about them.

the odd thing is that i have dreamt of things that have actually happened... esp when i see ppl i know and they are so happy, and laughing.... but then they die... 5 people i have dreamt of have died

it happened with my Grandmother not so long ago, i saw her in my dream, she used to love to crochet, and i gave her a basket of cotton, i remember how happy she looked in my dream, telling me about all the things she would be making..... but 2 days later she passed away in her sleep....

these are the dreams i hate

i try not to eat after 7... and i am in bed at about 1am... so i don't think it has anything to do with what i eat...maybe it's the drink.....

typo's smile

YES! I firmly believe this!

I don't know the reasons behind it, but I always have vivid/disturbing dreams if I eat cheese late in the evening.

Only a little. I can't eat huge amounts of cheese at a time.... do you have mini babybell's there? Like that kind of size.
