Men: Your ideal female, what would she be like?

If you had your choice, would she be "perfect"? Like what is portrayed as such by the media?

I know I have asked this before, and wanted to see if I could get some specifics this time.

Thanks. wink

I take it that intelligent is different than educated, right? mr.green

hehe, you are consistent, eh? razz

Just how important is physically fit? Also, what do you mean when you say physically fit? Could you be a little more specific?

I love intelligence and education usually goes right along with it... if an intelligent person is not educated, they can still comprehend complex subjects and learn very quickly, so education is not mandatory.

Physically fit = works out and takes care of her body. I prefer women who are toned. I take the time to work out and keep myself in shape and I like that in others as well. I would love to be with a woman who could jump on a bicycle and ride 100 miles with me on a Saturday... that sort of thing.

Yep... I am consistent! biggrin

My ideal female would pretty much be Diva- almost inhumanly kind, compassionate, giving, intelligent, humble, fun-loving, spiritual, spunky, tolerant, nurturing, pure, and witty.

No dumb as rocks for IceNine! biggrin Ever had a conversation with a rock, Ice? lol I have. biggrin

Would lack of intelligence get in the way of getting a woman who is physically the woman of your dreams?

ABSOLUTELY!

I have a REAL problem communicating with people who are not very smart... I am sure that a lot of people who are not very intelligent would hate being with me as well.

a free spirit
able to make a decision on her own
who has priorities that don't revolve
arround spending ever waking moment
with the victim du` souir.
body type is important only in
if it is a liability, ie.
"I CAN'T DO ALL THAT STUFF THAT A 125lb er CAN DO"
or "THAT HURTS ME"
if it looks like i can 'break' her,
i ain't fuckin with it.
when we are together, we can talk,
but it's not a MANDITORY prerequisite...
we can chill.
when we're out and about, she can HAVE FUN
she knows how to admire others without
gettin that ass checked, or without
becomming a specticle (when it's another woman)
a hostess of house gatherings, weather it be
a dinner gathering, or the FIGHT OF THE YEAR.
THIS WOMAN IS THE BOMB!!!
but i wouldn't marry her...
i would only do her wrong in the long run,
and i wouldn't want to break a spirit like that.

So it seems her character is indeed important in the long run. So why are there stereotypical women all over the media?

I'm going to post this here, since I think it got lost in the mix.

So WHY are all females so stereotypical and all have a certain shape and look in the media?

Why are they what I see? Who controls this, or am I way off?

Why?

Because the 20th century media is MASS media. TV and cable are a one-way pipe with limited choices that have to appeal to some kind of "average" opinion, hence a some very bland stereotypes for women.

The 21st century media will be far more individualized with control over what content and what advertisements you receive; there will be thousands and thousands of "channels," many of which are tuned to your tastes. Kind of like how Amazon currently shows you books it thinks you're interested in based on your previous purchases.

Bottom line...it's consequence of the current media-pipe. It will end during the 2nd Renaissance.

Ah, but I don't think so. In the media it is ok for a man to not be fit, aging, and not so "perfect"...but for women...that is NOT the case.

Boy this is difficult.

I like what IceNine has said, which I suspect also incorporates

Challenging
Adventurous
Possesses a high level of self-responsibility

I would also add:

someone who is honest and strives for integrity (behaves according to the values they clearly espouse)

Let me be honest, however. I met a woman in 1986 after we had both consumed a significant level of alcohol, and I was in no fit state to interview her using the above as criteria. I guess I was lucky. We'll call her Mrs L'ange Bleu.

But teller, why the type that is used? That is what I am asking...why Brittany Spears? Why Pamela Anderson? Why Jennifer Lopez? Why Halle Berry?

If they are telling us what to want, why those types? I don't see anyone lusting after less "perfect" women.
