During Oprah's many years of getting rich with a her TV Show and becoming a Billionaire did she ever do a Show of the plight of Chicago Ghettos??? Furthermore, Spread just a little of that money with them?

Not that I know of............but I'm not a fan.

She has in the past. It's been a few years though.

As for spreading her wealth there, as a member of the Urban League I do know that she does silent work for her fellow Chicagoans (and scores of other families) by taking 10 families out of the ghetto for a year, assisting them educationally and financially, so that they are afforded the opportunity to concentrate on making a better life for themselves. She's been doing this since the early 1990's. I don't think that spreading wealth in constructive ways is an issue for Winfrey, be it nationally or globally.

I don't know. But I do know that she's taking "Peopllllle!" to "Austraaaaalia!!!" with "Johnnn Travoltaaaaa!!!"

I gotta go with Kathy Griffin and Stern in feeling that Oprah is unintentionally hilarious.

I don't recall her doing a show on the ghettos, but I do remember a couple of shows (from a few years ago) where she helped a few people that lived in the projects in Chicago. One lady I remember vividly was a lady that was employed at a Starbucks that was raising her family and she gave her a large amount of money (or something like that).

Is it her money or is it money from the sponsors of her show?

The show (not O, personally) gets companies and businesses to donate the money and prizes to audience members.

I do know that she gives her staff bonuses and extra money out of her own budget. A few years ago, for some holiday, she gave her staff like $20,000 cash and gave it to them as a gift so they wouldn't have to pay taxes on it.
