Judge Dredd the movie For as bad and corny as the movie was I have to admit I got a kick out of it with Sylvester Stallone. The whole "I am the Law" bit cracks me up. Of course I'm not a comic book fan and have never read the comic novels regarding this character so the idea was all new to me. Which I guess made it easier to digest.
Anyway, now I'm excited again since there will be a new Judge Dredd, in 2012, with Karl Urban who I just lurve, simply named Dredd. I guess it's been discussed before but I'm curious what the purist think.
Sorry no trailer as of yet.

I read 2000AD as a kid/teen and i loved Dredd. I was disappointed in the movie the second that Dredd took off his helmet to reveal his face. In the comics, Dredds face was never ever shown. However, a film with Sly in it would have to show his mug at some point. I don't hold out much hope for the new movie.......time will tell.

I like demolition man too. it's just right corny.

WHAT!!!???? Demolition Man was way better than that awful "Judge Dredd"...in fact Demolition Man is on the AMC channel right now. Sure the movie was corny as hell, but damn Stallone looked sexy as all get out in the damn movie. I'd watch it any day....and especially over "Judge Dredd". I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

They're welcome to remake Dredd anytime possible. Taking into consideration that I have ALL the issues of Judge Dredd the first movie SUCKED BALLS! Stallone or no Stallone that movie was like bad stank-poot-butt ass to a purist.
Give me a real kick ass Dredd, that doesn't show his face, that rides that fat-tired Lawmaster bike and I can only pray that he goes up against Judge Death...
THAT.WOULD.RULE.
and I say Ron Perlman for the Judge but I think that's already been handled... A working class Hero is something to be ~ Lennon

I loved Wesley's dungeree look LOL. Only he could pull off that style and still look quite tough LOL
As for "Judge Dredd"? The film score was at least good and you got a cameo by Ian Dury, but even Stallone admitted a great opputunity was lost. I still think it's a good film and Stallone was perfect for it, but it could of been better. "Demolition man" had a cool score aswell bytheway. And the little injoke at Arnie in the movie LOL.

sorry purist but I think with this mug what would be the point of keeping the helmet on through the whole movie.

though he does wear helmets and armor well.

I place Rocky III right up there with the best movies of all time.
I always get goose bumps after he admits he's afraid to Adrian, then the Rocky theme gets going and he's Rocky again.
And I use the video in the last fight with Mr. T where Rocky keeps telling him, "You ain't so bad! My mother hits harder than that!" in motivational speeches as a way to illustrate that welcoming your challenges reduces them to nothing.

The plot and characters are so similar that I gotta wait until I see Wesley with that blonde afro to remember which movie I'm watching.

I can tell the difference because Sandra isn't in Judge Dredd and I believe Sly wore blue contacts in the Judge Dredd movie too...I hated that. I love his beautiful brown eyes. I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

Right, but Sandra and Diane are playing almost the same character. Another DM bonus tho is foine as Benjamin Bratt.
