Celestial Navigations: Short Films of Al Jarnow

I know this wouldn't be considered a "movie", but this was the last thing I watched and really enjoyed. If you're a fan of short animation films, you'll like this. You might've seen some of this guy's work in old school Sesame Street.

jimmy is 19 and works as a bouncer at a strip club. he gets is big break into crime being asked to deliver $ for a gangster named pando.the simple job goes horribly wrong when the woman who he was supposed to deliver the $ to suddenly dies of a heart attack and doesn't answer the door. his brother was killed turns out by the same ganster. he decided to wait on the beach. thinking he sees the pretty girl she's crushing on he burys the $ and goes into the ocean. FUCKING IDIOT. 2 yound street kids steal the $. so now he's got pando after him.

the ending is the best. one of the little boys gets hit my a car driven by pando's gang. the surviving little boy walks right into their lair and shoots em all dead!!! i tell you the end cause good luck finding this rare movie.......

EASY A

Really enjoyed it. Loved Emma Stone (her timing is awesome) and everyone else in it.

3 1/2 star out of 5

DEVIL

Alright. Had potential. Not-at-all scary IMO and corny-ass ending. sigh

Easy A was cute. It really made me like Emma Stone a lot. The movie wasn't great so much as it was kinda just...pleasant. But still, I enjoyed it.

4 out of 5 for being a breath of at least competent air in a wave of other horrible amateur horror films I recently saw parts of. This movie has good character concepts and acting.

Its a very strong homage to "The Exorcist" in ways that are not so obvious, mainly it's protagonist having lost his faith, and then regaining it in light of experiencing true supernatural religious phenonema.

It's also a bit of a rip off of: "Blair Witch Project" with the ending, a forshadowing element from "Signs", and only true movie geeks will get my next note: "The Car"

Saw that last week. Really enjoyed it, although I thought Danny Boyle was a weird choice of director for this type of story... James Franco's choices of role of late has really increased my appreciation of him.

Why'd you think Danny Boyle was a weird choice?

Ottensen

The poster for the film shows Natalie Portman with white facial makeup, black-winged eye liner around bloodshot red eyes, and a jagged crystal tiara.

4/5 I love a good dance movie, a good film noir, a thriller, neurotic arts enslaved character. Miss Portman is going to get an Oscar, methinks. She stretched herself a bit from the little cuties she normally plays and did batshit crazy well here.

man...4.5/5.

cause the more I get to se the back stories to porn stars the more I see how jacked up the world of porn is. Best (and most cry your heart out) scene is watchng Annabel back in Singapore being forced to confront the truth of what she's doing, and how it clashes with the Chinese ideal of protecting one's parents, shame, family honor, etc. Most heart-wrenching, cult film-worthy line of the movie,

"I'll get it back..for sure I'll gt it back, mom"

100% with you on Black Swan. :headbanger:

During the "white swan" part of the finale, there were moments when she reminded me of a young Liz Taylor. mushy (that was just a yummy visual plus for me) giggle

(2010). a drama involving a messed up crime family. It's a slow burner but I thought it was very good nevertheless. excellent performances from most of the cast too.

i could never get over the fact that he could be a priest. way too hot to not be getting any. i once again love his onscreen chemistry with shannyn who was also his love interest in a knight's tale.also i like how mark addy and him play off each other. he was in both flicks too. robocops in this too. the special effects are a bit cheesy but i love hearing heathcliff speak latin with the aussie accent....

uhy

great adventure movie. he sure proves he's not a coward.i like scruffy stuck in the desert heath....as always heath is amazing.

i lent his to my stepmom and she said it was terrible solely cause it made her cry. ??? whofarted hmm weird seeing kate hudson with that fake red haircolor. can't get over wes bentley's terrible teeth.
