The Tourist. Thoroughly predictable but enjoyable. I give it 3 out of 5 stars.

after being reminded of predator vs alien, i got this from blockbusters. what a load of shite cheap knockoff just using a similar name. not a single explosion or beheading in the entire movie, and dustin hoffman wasn't half as funny as in little fockers either. the woman in the film couldn't act to save herself. who casted that ugly cow?

Another Year (2010) - 7,5/10

I actually didn't expect much when I first heard about this movie, but since I read a couple of positive reviews I had to know what it was all about. surprisingly good - I even had a few laughs.

I'm still cheering for Jennifer Lawrence from Winter's Bone to win some awards but I would not at all be mad at Ms. Portman if she walked away with one or two. I'd love a tie actually.

Just as brilliant subtlety made Lawrence's performance amazing, so did perfectly over the top dramatics for Portman's. They're like polar opposites but both oh-so-good. And I've never even been a fan of this girl. She barely even registered on my radar.

I really just loved everything about this movie.

voyage of the dawn treader -- if that were a prince song what would it be about?

was pretty good, hard to live up to one's imagination of the book, but i thought the scene they added about lucy becoming susan was very powerful, spoke to me anyways about sometimes wishing i looked different. worth seeing just for that scene.

The Fighter (2010) - Based on the real story of boxer Micky Ward stepping out from under the shadow of his older boxer brother Dicky.

^^ And I have to add that Amy Adams looked GOOD in the above movie, omg.

Dresden Files series. really enjoyed the concept and characters. kind of harry potter meets burn notice. 4 out of 5

i always wanted to see the blade movies. the other day i seen the 4 flicks in a pack for 8$ at target. so i'm watching the first one. OMFG. this movie has it all! it's like taking the crow,the matrix movies,great gory horror flicks and all the vampires anf rolling it all into one. the gore, the action,the oneliners!! incredibile!after i get my prince tix i'm gonna watch the other 3 probably back to back! i'm in movie heaven!!

there are only 3 blade movies, the first is great, the second is the best, the third is a bit shit. there was also a tv series that wesley snipes wasn't in, that's maybe the other disc. i've never been bored shitless enough to watch it. it didn't last long and wasn't exactly critically acclaimed

i remember someone once tried to compare wesley snipes to denzel washington until i pointed out a list of movies to show that denzel made decent and respected movies with top writers and directors and wesley snipes did shit that went straight to video and required the removal of your brain to follow the story. it was like comparing justin beiber to frank sinatra

I love the first Crow movie...so bad ass. <3 Brandon Lee. I never seen the other versions.

House of Chthon is the pilot for the Blade TV series that ran for one season on the Spike channel. I have the entire series on DVD and thought it was pretty good. The unrated pilot DVD has brief nudity that did not appear in the episode's original airing.

We went to see "The Kings Speech" last night... Totally recommend it 10/10

house of chthon was the series premier, feature lenth episode. so they gave you the first couple of eps of the show without the rest. the less you have to watch the better tho

i've not seen the other crow movies, the first was good, and they are remaking it. but when they make the awful sequels without the same actors, directors or budget, they are just milking things

btw there are black vampires in true blood and of course blacula and scream blacula scream with pam grier

gainsbourg was the last movie i watched

it's fucking brilliant

beautifully shot and directed, a slightly surreal biopic of serge gainsbourg. it's obviously all in french. it's up there with the best of the biopics

I really want to see Gainsbourg, but the only Region 1 DVD available (Québec) has no English subtitles.

and as it's that time of year, and i recently watched best in show again, i had to watch this

just amazing cast, from christopher guest, harry shearer, eugene levy, john michael higgins, ricky gervais, paul dooley, john krazinksy, parker posey, sandra oh, fred willard, jane lynch, catherine o hara, claire forliani, etc etc etc

the movie is a satire on hollywood and the oscar buzz, with the title taken from the term commonly stamped all over those pirate dvds you've downloaded from the internets

it's also worth mentioning best in show, a mighty wind and the lesser known movie spinal tap, as this features the same umbrella cast, writers and style as the other movies

very rarely is a sequel just as good or better then the first movie. omfg!!!!! that no lower jaw thing! whoa!! looks like a damn insect!!

Sherlock Holmes 1.5/5 Awful. Guy Ritchie turned it into just another cool guys/evil baddie action flick. Visually it was impressive.
