Being a big James Franco fan. I was at the local target with sister bored with music playing in the ambiance and dizzy with the smell of popcorn. I saw HOWL and automatically broke down my cheapo rules on buying DVDs and books. i only waste more than 20 bucks on art books and cooking books for DVD i would only cash out if i really needed for if it some cheesy japanese ghost movie, which i love. anyways i got Howl for like 3 bucks and cry baby(john walters) for like 5 bucks. watch them both and i thought james franco was awesome. I love the historical background and well i love the beats and so i enjoy my movie very much. i still haven't seen crybaby. i recommend it.

Wonderful movie, on Turner Classic Movies last, great acting beautiful story and complete over the top melodrama. But you have to grit your teeth getting past the overt racism in this movie. Still this is classic cinema 10/10. "Frankly my dear I don't give a damn"

Straight 5/5! star star star star star

A teen prostitute, middle class student, child soldier, and 2 homeless siblings band together to make a 3,000 mile trek to the opening ceremonies of the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, all while dodging angry parents, military guards, mafia hit men, lions and cheetahs in this suspenseful comedy showing the harsh yet beautiful realities of Africa through a 7 country journey.

Colorful, imaginative, forceful, unblinking, at turns hilarious and at others having you wincing on the edge of your seat- it doesn't get any better than this.

Forget about my rate, just do yourself a favor and watch it!

I actually saw this at a Gay Movie Festival several years agao, and thought very interesting given its historical period (1925 -1931) and the lives him and the effeminate guy had to lead. Very deep and gripping movie. I also remember my friend forgot his glasses and couldn't follow it as it was in Portuguese. 8/10

Growing up in the Mission district of San Francisco, Che Rivera (Benjamin Bratt) has always had to be tough to survive. He's a powerful man respected throughout the Mission barrio for his masculinity and his strength, as well as for his hobby building beautiful lowrider cars. A reformed inmate and recovering alcoholic, Che has worked hard to redeem his life and do right by his pride and joy: his only son, Jes, whom he has raised on his own after the death of his wife. Che's path to redemption is tested, however, when he discovers Jes is gay. To survive his neighborhood, Che has always lived with his fists. To survive as a complete man, he'll have to embrace a side of himself he's never shown.

Also with Talisa Soto, Jesse Borego, Erika Alexander from Living Single...
