why must i constantly be sick. i just stayed in bed nearly 14 hours. once again i'm in pain. the purple high of the prince concert is now gone and once again it's back to being a broke lonely loser. i wish i was a car and could go to the shop and get all new parts. i am in so much pain with my stomach. i barely ever have appetite. constant acid reflux burning. always nauseous and throwing up stomach acid alot. i barely can ever sleep. it takes forever to fall asleep.
i was in the hospital a few month ago with severe pains and a gi tract bleed. very scary to wake up with severe pains and have blood diaherra 5 times in 2 hours.i thought i was dying. doctors are friggin clueless. wait out in the er waiting room an entire day only to be told "we don't know why that happened" i need dr house!!
well at least the blood tests proved its nothing like cancer although i won't be to surprised if i was ever told it was being how many ppl in the family have had it. at least that is treatable and if not you get medical marijuana and at least that would give u and appetite and make you sleep. or if your dying make a wish foundation can get to meet your fave celebrity or something. na. god just wants me to suffer for another 60 -70 yrs of this and its not fair. i got laid off and now i got no medicial insurance. i can't get or afford the one mediciation that worked best.........
also my caprel tunnels is flaring up real bad too...so no instant messenger like the last 2 days

Have they tested you for Chrome's disease? My sisterinlaw has it and the same symptoms you describe.
Also...it may sound goofy but a spliff a day keeps the doctor away.

While I'm all for maryjane and its ability to ease the symptoms of many ailments...you don't really believe that it has the power to prevent sickness, do you?

Irritable Bowel Syndrome maybe?
Have you tried changing your diet? With the constant acid reflux, it could be something as simple as a severe allergy. For instance - try coming off dairy products for a while. The amount of people who are intolerant and don't even know it is vast. Take a visit to a dietician that deals with allergies as well, there's plenty of them about. They'll help you experiment with your diet and looking for evidence of allergies.
Also, actively seek getting a job that makes you happy. And exercise. It's never nice to be in pain, but it's always a lot worse when you have too much time to think about it. Think positively - stop feeling sorry for yourself.
It's got nothing to do with any god that you may believe in. Have faith in yourself; no-one will give you more strength and control over your life than you. Change the way you see yourself with your pain - you are not being punished, merely tested. As we all are. Instead of asking "why me?", change the question to "why not me?". Rise to this challenge as many others do with symptoms a lot worse than yours. Make it your goal to solve your issue and don't let mediocre doctors off the hook. Hope and strength.

For me...yes.
I drink nothing but Pepsi (I honestly cant remember the last time I drank water), eat fast food on an almost daily basis, smoke Newports like a chimney and marijuana almost daily (since 1994)...not the healthiest SOB in the world. Im 5'9'', 200 lbs...all I have is lower back problems from a car accident in 2002, no breathing problems, no heart problems. Had a checkup last year where they checked me from the rooter to the tooter...everything cool. Of course the doctors gave me the speech about changing things up and cuttin the ganja, but I checked out fine.
I am rarely sick...maybe once a year, and when I am its one really bad day and thats it. I have a wife and three kids who are constantly sick. Im always around them and catch none of their germs.
I dunno...I think its the herbals.

how old are you? | |

Dude.
I know you're in pain and probably just venting, but it's kind of gross to suggest that people with terminal illnesses have it better than you do because Make A Wish can supposedly help them meet some famous asshole while they suffer in their last days.
I hope you feel better. I also hope you gain some kind of perspective.

Oops...
And I'll be 37 next month.

Oh.
So you're basing this not on any medical research or other evidence, but on the fact that you don't get sick and you smoke pot daily.
Interesting.
You mentioned that you also drink Pepsi every day. Would it not also then be true that "a Pepsi a day keeps the doctor away"?
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
Yeah, but I can go without Pepsi.
Herb is a must.
It was just a light hearted comment folks...a spliff could calm her down and give her a moment during her pain from whatever her ailment may be.

lol.
The dude's a bit confused (the clue is in his name). i like a joint on the odd occasion and i can see the relaxing benefit. But that is all. It contains nothing at all that will prevent or cure anything signicantly ailing. It simply eases some pains for some people. And caffeine just stimulates.
Seriously tho, i wouldn't take any advice from a guy who thinks that pepsi is better than water! lol [Edited 1/2/11 22:26pm] Prince M&M people are as mad as a bag of sparrows. Fact.

I think in his post he acknowledges that water is better; he just doesn't drink it. He doesn't have to, he's got the pot!

True true.
Could do with a joint now, actually...

just wondering if the relaxed effect, the near elimination of stress might give the body's immune system a better chance at fighting off illness... I know ganj doesn't have anything in it but I wonder if the "side effects" give the body better odds... A working class Hero is something to be ~ Lennon |

Good point.
Stress reduction definitely has proven links to improved immune function.

Staying active seems to work well, U should get more Xcersize
I have only seen you pictured in Pajamas/near the bed. If you play the role of a sickly person you R bound 2 become 1 (Right?).
Of course this means nothing if you have a serious internal problem, and would probably make things worse, but It could help keep u in good spirits on a daily basis.

well i was tested for the lactose thing. not that.
they call it gastritis cause its all the symptoms of a ulcer without once. i had the camera down my throat. they said no shit fuck what are those things around your ass that bleed...not that that caused the bleed that time...i don't have those.
idk about crohn's. i mean i thought u have the shits all the time. i don't. barely ever. it's mostly puking up acid and pain in my chest and stomach.
i think the rxs for my adhd and carpel tunnels just wrecked my stomach lining.
i have had stress and anxiety issues b4. it seems like if i do have a panic attacks is when i have weed avaiable and i don't get it that often. i have read pot can make mental issues worse. yes pot is great for sleeping and getting off stoned but the higher risk of anxiety and panic attacks suck. i can't stand the coughing spells. i already get coughing spells sometimes. weed aggravates it more.
right now i'm just depressed cause i'm so broke and i need to find a new job cause i don't want my car repossessed. also quite lonely. i need another man.

i tried exercising. hurts the fucked up valve in my heart..its just a coincidence. they were looks at my heart b4 they figured out it was stress and panic attacks...
i tried exercises for 8 months. i was the same weight and measurements.i mean the most i ever smoked was 6 cigs a day which i stopped cold turkey. went from like 135 to 165. that was like4 7 yrs ago. i cant lose it. not saying im overweight. its all in the mid section..i do enjoy finally having tits!!!

I had to give up coffee and tomatoes due to serious acid issues (stomach acid reflux was causing my vocal folds to collapse into my throat, cutting off my breathing). Totally difficult and depressing to do - I'm also part Italian, plus I married a full-blooded gravy-eating, garlic-sucking, olive-oil-sweating guinea, so it's always around, tempting me! - but my health has improved dramatically. If you're having acid issues, cutting out tomatoes (especially cooked tomato sauce) can make a huge difference.

you're still young enough to not display any symptoms of ominous things to come as a result of unhealthy diet. I don't think it's a good idea to keep doing it just to prove that you can, especially since you have 3 kids who love you. I'm not saying this just to be contrary or anything, btw.
I do agree that some people just have bad luck or good luck, depending on genes.
For example, my mum's diet can't be faulted by a nutritionist, but she developed essential hypertension in her late 20s, arthritis in her 50s and her cholesterol is high. She exercises rigorously every day. My dad, doesn't do much, doesn't eat as well, drinks at least 3 glasses of wine each day, and is picture of health at 65.
My father in law is 70, smokes heavily, drinks hard spirits straight, and is also "just fine" apparently. But it's a gamble. At least 3 of his friends with similar lifestyle have died of cancer of the liver, heart attack, or suffered a stroke. Several others have diabetes. How did he know 20 years ago he would be "lucky" now?
