How Eddie Murphy’s Ex B...4 Years…

Eddie Murphy’s ex wife Nicole Mitchell-Murphy received a huge divorce settlement from her famous ex-hubby…$15 MILLION to be exact.

But after only 4 years splurging her dough living the single life, Nicole is reportedly broke and in massive debt!

Somewhere in the “Golddigger’s Handbook” there has GOTS to be a chapter on retaining your earnings! How the hell does something like this happen?

Eddie Murphy’s ex wife Nicole has blown her massive $15 million divorce settlement in just four years – and now she’s millions of dollars in debt.

What’s more, the IRS has slapped her with five tax liens totally $846,630, and she has put her opulent mansion up for sale. When Nicole divorced Eddie in 2006 after 13 years of marriage, she chose to take a one-time payout from the comedian of $15 million, instead of monthly alimony. But in a shockingly short span of time, she’s managed to lose all of it.

“Nicole made some bad investments with the fortune she got from Eddie, and now she is in serious financial straits,” said a friend of the 42-year-old stunner. Court records show that the IRS slapped Nicole with two liens for back taxes in November totaling $214,688.

That huge bill was on top of outstanding judgments against her for nearly $600,000 by a legal firm and another $60,000 demand for payment by a landscaping company. She also owes $5 million on her Los Angeles-area home.

“Nicole is overwhelmed by the mountain of debt she has piled up,” added the source. Nicole, who has five children with Eddie, invested in an Internet jewelry business, but the venture quickly failed and Nicole lost most of her money.” (Source)

DesireeNevermi nd	I could take $15 mill and turn it into 20 mill easy. I don't understand the newly rich and their wreckless spending habits. It's as if she learned nothing from her hubby and his financial advisors.

Timmy84	There's reasons I can name as to why she blew away $15 million: 1.) Spending sprees (which is probably what it is) 2.) Drugs (just speculating, don't think she ever did any) 3.) Cars 4.) Trying to start a business only for it to flop Nicole could've used some of that money for her children's college funds.

DesireeNevermi nd	Yeah she gets child support for the minor kids I believe. If she owes $5 mill on her house that means it cost about that much or more than that when she bought it. Homes appreciate and she should have had equity. $15 mill,, she could have paid for a luxury home in cash with mad money to spare.

If I had to, like, Brewster's Millions style, I betcha I could blow $15 million in a couple hours (might have to wait for some sales to clear, but the money would be gone). But if I didn't have to I certainly wouldn't. And if I was in her situation I'd damn well make sure I didn't. lol

is she rich people broke with just some cash flow problems because most of her money is tied up in off shore investments. Or is she regular folk broke where when you go to target to buy yourself some toothpaste your debit card is declined and you need to go to the payday loan people in order to eat the next week? hmmm

I guess! lol Internet jewelry business gone bad? Possible, I guess. I wonder if she got scammed, or if it's a reverse scam to possibly drum up support and/or more money for her, or if it's really true? I have no idea, but it seems unlikely that anybody would let ALL (or even a large majority) of their money go like that. I mean, I know it happens. And maybe she thought it was coming back. But still, it just has a slight ring of... SUUUUUSPEEEECT... to it. lol

Thats only like 3.5 million a year. That's not much at all for somone of that lifestyle. I don't see what the big shock is.

Give or take annually, Nicole would've earned a half million a year interest on 15 million dollars. She could've lived off her alimony, child support and interest. As for her father's wealth, the operative word is, his wealthy. wink biggrin
