Hair

---

Franchise, Local Salon/Barber, or I/Someone close does my hair...

Where do YOU get your haircut, color, perm, or any other salon services?

Do you feel your choice reflects you, or your pocketbook?

Do you like the way your hair looks right now? Not so much whether you are having a good or bad hair day - but the style/color/cut you currently have?

Post a pic if you want!

---

I will go first. I do my own hair.

I don't trust anyone with my hair - I have in the past, but now...after some bad experiences, well and the fact that I don't wanna subject my hair to another "hunt for a good stylist"...I do it myself. smile I would prefer someone else to do it. neutral Nicer to just sit and get done. smile

I like the way my hair looks now, it is naturally curly - I add brown shine, and add golden highlights...

Anyone else???

My partner does my hair and I do his.

We just get the shears out, put on the 6mm comb and shave the whole head. It's a very sensual experience for both the haircuttor and the haircuttee (are there such words? - there are now!)

My girlfriend does my hair, and has done it for about 13 years. She is quite professional and very well trained.

Right now my hair is a little longer than shoulder length, I just cut out most of my perm, and some layers.

I have my hair colored, it is a dark reddish brown. Close to my own color. I am still to young for white hair..Someday I'll post a new picture.

I do my own trimming on a regular basis and go to Capelli's Salon when I want a change.

Currently, I think I need a few inches wacked off and some layers.

Another fonky bald head here! Had really long hair as a teenager, shaved the lot off at 18, kept shaving it, started going bald naturally during that time, and now I couldn't grow it back even if I wanted to biggrin

My grandfather was bald at age 20!

I don't miss having hair. It used to be so much hassle washing it, drying it, styling it, brushing it. What a pain in the arse! I recommend going the slaphead route to anyone sitting on the fence biggrin

I used to have long hair and sometimes looked liked Tina Turner or Jese Johnson...I have been going to the same guy for 12 years now to cut it. Im fucked if anything ever happens to Big Ron. Im considering letting it go long again.

A friend of mine has been doing my hair for about the last 5-6 years. About 3-4 years ago, he graduated from Vidal Sassoon in LA. It reflects both my pocket book and my personal style. I can get a litle crazy with color from time to time and last time I paid for cut and color in a salon I trusted, it was around $200 with tip. He's a genius with color and always has fabulous ideas for styles and such (he strictly follows all the latest hair trends, orders the video when he can't attend a hair show, etc.), but his cuts didn't used to be that great. He's gotten better over the years, and now it's just a good excuse to make sure we hang out once a month or so.

My hair is straight and thin but extremely forgiving - I can't even tell you how many times I've dyed it, curled it, blowdried it, ratted it, etc... and it remains in pretty good condition biggrin

I dye it myself due to lack of funds and the fact that I don't really give a crap about it looking professional and whatnot. All I want is for it to be dark - I used to dye it red/purple/magenta in high school and the colors keep coming back. Plus Sun In and the natural sun from my tennis-playing years also lightened it up considerably.

Up until a year ago, I had had bangs my whole entire life - hence the Daria/Velma/Winnie Cooper comparisons. Now they've grown out, thank goodness! My friend, who is extremely talented when it comes to hair, cut it in June. I need to get it trimmed but alas, there aren't any good salons here sad

I liked it the way it was about a month ago... VERY dark and layered.
I mean, like, where is the sun?

Locks - wash and wear! No dryers, no pins, no overly price weekly visits to the beautician. And since I'm always playing & twisting my hair I maintain them on a daily basis.

I get my hair done at a place called "Hila's Hair Boutique," and I've been going there since Hila first opened, when I was in 4th grade. I used to play with her son - her hair place was right next to my parent's business. If you simply get your haircut there, it's just $9.

Anyhow, I suppose my choice is based on, you know, family friendship and so on, though she does do a lovely job, and I trust her. I don't like my hair right now - mainly because it's too long. I don't like it after it starts getting past my shoulders, as it's too think, and too long. It's been since May since I had my hair chopped though...

I've had ever color under the sun. Blond,Red,Black,Purple,Pink. My hair was Fried! Now I'm leaving it alone and growing it long. It's Beautiful and Dark Brown. I didn't know I had such Great Hair. Growing it and just highlighting it is best.

$43 for a haircut, is like, too much. Do they do anything more than just cut it, for like, $43? Like, it's such a rip-off. Totally.

Or is it that, you like, have a lot of hair?
