NFL playoffs in 2 weeks............and all ESPN is talking about is Brett Farve

WTH is going on? Farve has been a non-story this entire season.

To their credit, the scrawl yesterday (or the day before, I forget) was basically a continuous feed informing us that Favre had lied to Goodell.

I can't wait until that drama queen is REALLY out of the NFL.

Dude, did you REALLY not see the lol after the question? Did you really think I was making some sort of a challenge or something? rolleyes

They keep talking about him because he played for 20 straight seasons, 297 straight games. Because he holds nearly every QB record in existence. Because he's played through more injuries than an entire teams worth of career NFL'ers. Because he had a career season last year, still had to be talked into coming back and this season turned out to be a train wreck of epic proportions. Because it's 99.9% certain that after claiming he was going to retire however many times before, THIS time he's really going to do it.

Interesting that it's come out that he lied. I've been away from the TV for a couple days - hadn't heard that yet. So he'll get suspended for the one game remaining in his career. Woo-hoo! lol

I don't know what "sack hugging" means lol , but I'm tired of it, too. Have been for weeks, actually. And I really liked Favre for most of his career. But the last few years have been kind of sad and annoying (other than how well he played last season). At least we can take some solace in the fact that he should finally be gone forever after next week.

If New England doesnt win they are the KINGS of "Choking", getting to the dance and blowing it, kind of like the Atlanta Braves coming in first 13 years in row and only winning one world series, of The Buffalo Bills, Or the Broncos or those Minnesota Vikings gettting there 4 times and losing all 4, kind of the Susan Lucci''s of football. But though im a Jet Fan i dont think anyone can touch New England at this point or Tom BRady they are mowing down teams with ease and are in that GROOVE, if they lose it will be because they choked and beat themselves.

ESPN is totally discredited IMO now. They make their own news and push whatever stories they decide instead of just covering sports.

I haven't watched it for at least a year, probably closer to two.

"Sack hugging"... like, on his nuts? lol Is that it?

New England won 3 Super Bowls in the last decade - I'm not sure how they can be considered chokers. Some of those others you mentioned, sure! But not NE.

Hall of Famer - yes. Top five QB of all time - no. I'd take these cats over Favre - Unitas, Graham, Montana, Elway, Marino, Manning, Brady, Aikman & Staubach.

During his fall of fame speech, Favre better thank the Falcons for trading him to Green Bay. Had he stayed in Atlanta, he would have been a journeyman.

NOt a fan of his, but he should have retired after last season. This season has been HORRIBLE!

+ Young, probably Bradshaw, and possibly Rothlesberger by the time his career is over (he's already got more rings).

They can hardly be considered the Kings of choking...even if they choke this year. I mean people write the Cowboys in as a Super Bowl favorite every year and they shoot their load prematurely and leave the playoffs early to clean themselves up. When they actually get that far, that is.

As far as actual contenders, I think the Colts are more suited to that title. For all of their success in the decade, they have one Super Bowl and it took playing against Rex Grossman to get that.

I've always stated how in the hell is Brett Favre considered a better all time qb than

Troy Aikman. Hell Brett never even beat Troy in the playoffs. Troy's 3 super bowl rings

stand out more to me than Brett's 1 ring, record for consecutive starts, Td's thrown and

record INT's thrown.

Get the fuck out of here. lol

This coming from an Pats fan. Does Spygate ring a bell? Tom Brady the man

who admits the test is easy when you have all the answers to the questions.

And who gives a shit about the Titans. What the fuck have they done since Steve McNair

and Eddie George left. The steelers kicked the Titans ass in Nashville week 3 this season

and Chris Johnson was M.I.A

BTW i missed the refs helping big ben throw the winning td to Santonio Holmes in the

last super bowl win.

Seahawks got robbed.

I know. Those banana peels the refs threw on the field to cause Jeremy Stevens to

drop passes were really unfair. Damn that invisible magnet the ref used that caused Hasselbeck to

throw an INT to Ike Taylor during the potential go ahead drive in the final quarter. Ah damn

those refs. Talk about getting robbed.

lol

I'm just talking shit. I'll be the first (or second I guess) to acknowledge Jerramy Stevens had butterfingers half the game.

But let's not pretend the reffing wasn't horrible. One of the refs came out and said as much himself.
