Aerogram It used to be I didn't much like this fine man, but I have seen the light! He is quite nice, really it seems. I like him a great deal. -------

Aero is the best... I do adore him for many reasons. He's one of the first people I ever spoke to on the old org and he's been there for me when I needed a friend or a brother.

Thank you for this thread, Battier. As incredicle as it seems, no one had ever created a "Devote-a-Thread" or " "Appreciation Day" to me... xcept me, , many moons ago... and even then... What I actually did was announce that I was "a-leavin" the Org, then after people had asked me to stay and pumped my ego, I went back and changed the title to Devote-a-thread to Aerogram. In my last post on the thread, I explained my theory that most people leaving the Org were looking for a "Devote-a-thread". Damn me! The other thing is that Wednesday night, I was at some party honouring a social activist that my present beau was hosting. My ex, who is a "celebrity" in the community, decided to attend. There were a couple of politicians, and my ex insisted on introducing me to them and talking at length about me, going deep into my life's story while I stood there, getting tired of the "oh" and "ah"'s, wanting to stop being the topic. I felt like some kind of conversational prop. The compliments and praise I was getting didn't feel right, because they all seemed based on accomplishing normal things "in spite" of having disabilities and all that crap. I'm glad to say that you guys don't make me feel this way. This thread is the perfect antidote to the kind of compliments I was receiving on Wednesday. So thank you, thank you, Battier... you came right on time. | |
