The reviews I have read tend to agree with you. Unfortunately I feel like I have to buy it. A friend of mine insisted he wouldn't but then did, under the assumption I would buy it too. So I feel like I owe to him to do so.

From what I read and from what he tells me, graphically, it is not as good as MW2. The levels themselves are not as well designed as MW2, they tend to be a series of rooms I guess, which leads to lots of camping and not as much room for sniping. And the timing of the controls is a little off compared to MW2 from what I am told. I guess I'll find out for myself in due time.

I've onl got 2 levels in Sonora had to judge...it just feels a bit Time Crisis from what I've seen, it'll pick up im sure. As I said, the multiplayer looks a bit odd from the 2 maps I've seen...grass is all the same shade of bright green,faces look cartoony etc...it's like everythings lit by a billion watt light bulb. I read the user reviews. When I read user reviews though, I generally ignore perfect score reviews or reviews that are less than perhaps 4/10. Either of those usually are poorly written and filled with nonsensical rants heaping undue praise/hate on a game.

Of the mid-level user reviews I read, none seemed to rave about the campaign. They didn't hate it, but it didn't come across as anything to write home about.

Actually Infinity Ward and Treyarch take year about with the Call Of Duty franchise.Before Modern Warfare 2 it was Call Of Duty World At War.The next Infinity Ward game will be called Modern Warfare 3.

Im sitting on the fence here..Its a new shooter with new maps but I could probably see myself going back to MW2 soon.

im with you...ill finish the campaign and, teh day i do, its being sold. Theres just no enjoymnet in the multiplayer game...some bits can be patched and hopefully the fact that half the game plays like a silent movie is one of themand im praying they do someting about the fact you could empty a mag at point blank range and 80% of the shots would have no effect....but they cant do anything about the appauling graphics i dont think - it reminds me more of those Delta Force games than the classy COD games of recent years.

I just wish the MW2 map packs werent so expensive...iv e played the standard maps to death

I thought the campaign was awesome. It's not the same game as either of the MW's, so comparing the two is kind of not fair.

Multi-player isn't as refined or beautiful as MW2.

I'm not very happy with dumping 4 rounds in the center of someones chest from 10 feet away on Hardcore, only to have them shoot me once and kill me.

The respawn engine is totally wack. Getting spawn killed is my LEAST favorite thing, it's just so damn bush league.

the map voting is kind of stupid IMO. Playing the same map 4 times in a row is repetitive.

Who's on PS3? I wanna play multiplayer. (I'm not very good, but I have my streaks )

PaulG1975 but i'm getting quite irritated with the online games cos the games keep buggering up.

My brother wanted this game for Christmas. I never understood these military video games but when he gets it, I might want to play tooo. It seems interesting but complicated at the same time. lol

Just not very interested in this one, but the zombie mode looks like it could be fun.

Did this game just come out or something? I thought it had been out for a while. My nephew and his bff rolled through earlier to ask my some geeky pc questions and when my answer involved telling his friend it would take a long time he replied by telling me, "It's not a problem, I just bought Call of Duty Black Ops".
