The Room Poster

A black comedy about love, passion, betrayal and lies. star /10

I only gave it one star because the acting is so bad it gave me the giggles most of the movie, especially the dude on the cover who not only star's in the film but also wrote, produced, directed, and funded this turd.

3.5 out of 5.

It shouldn't have been billed as the sequel to In The Mood For Love though. Both films are extremely different.

I cringed the whole time I watched that film. My sister being a Sandra fan, I had to indulge her in silence,,,,,,one thing for sure, I've learned my lesson.

Uh, yeah... I think I understand where you're coming from. lol I dig Sandra, so I decided to suspend all context (which, as I recall, took a beer or two), and just let a feel-good flick be a feel-good flick.

Prince of Persia Sands of Time

By about 7 minutes in, I was like "OMG! Is this about to be the worst movie Disney ever made?" By about 10 minutes or so, I stopped the movie altogether. But I hate not finishing a movie once I've started watching it, even if it's bad - if for no other reason than I want to see how bad it's going to turn out.

But then after about 20 or 30 minutes of the film, the story started making more sense. And by the time I got to the end, I realized it was a pretty good movie, lol. I can honestly say I enjoyed it. In the reviews I read, lots of people complained about the Persians all having British accents, but I usually give Hollywood a pass on such details. Overall, the movie was entertaining (for me).

The Bucket List

I know this movie came out in 2007, but I just got around to watching it a couple of days ago. This movie had me glued to the screen from beginning to the end. Really good movie, but an absolute tear-jerker. And the plot was interesting enough to where it didn't go exactly the way I expected it was going to go. Sean Hayes had a pretty solid role in the film as well, excellent acting all the way around; but that's exactly what I'd expect from these two veteran actors.

I thought this was a really really good movie. I thought it really caught the flavor of urban New York too. But MAN was it disturbing, lol. I could have kicked Moniques' ass! LOL. I felt NO PITY for her at the end, lol. I didn't realize that was Lenny Kravitz either until the credits rolled. I was impressed by his acting (everyone's acting actually, even by Mariah Carey).

Admirable adaptation of the book, but the original Swedish film is still better.

Just watched this tonight, mostly based on your rating. It was indeed a very good movie. It's amazing the acting and emotion they can pack into animated characters these days. I thought this movie was very touching, made me think about my own childhood and the toys I left behind. touched
