My family sells real Xmas trees. It's been a family business since before I was born. So it's kinda sacriligious for me to even consider buying a fake tree, anyway.

Which, my current ceilings are 11 feet so it will look tiny in my place.

But it's still bigger than the 2.5 foot one I have on a shelf right now.

The thing is, though - the taller the tree gets, the bigger it is around the bottom. (Unless you buy a "skinny" artificial tree - which I did a few years ago.) So it'd take up a lot more room, overall.

Just put a really tall angel on top.

Ever since I was young, I used purple wrapping paper.

In our house, we didn't put names on gifts- we had our own little "systems" to remember which gifts were which... My family knew all the purple ones were from me.

I didn't think I'd like a black Christmas tree but that looks really good. I could really do that up with some silver ornaments and miniature disco mirror balls.

Just a small much more plain one this year.

silly to clarify, i bought the tree along with the groceries, and what had been a tedious chore abruptly changed into a cool thing. two sweet cashier ladies helped me find a huge plastic bag to keep it warm while i dashed it out to the car after i loaded the groceries.

i bought some soymilk, lettuce, celery, bread for bird toast, hummus, corn chips, dip. snacks for all
