I got accosted by King Tut last night at McDonald's. No, really.

I walked in and there was this short, drunk homeless dude trying to buy two cheeseburgers. But the counter guy said he'd been told by the manager not to sell him any food. So the dude got real mad and started screaming that he had "green money".

He turned to me and said, "Look! I got green money! I want cheeseburgers!"

I guess I looked like the manager because then he said to me, "You need to fire every one in here! Every last one of them! I come back tomorrow, they better all be fired! I'm King Tut, so don't you mess with me! You front me and I WILL start throwing punches!"

Then he left.

But I have to say that King Tut was not Western European at all. Looked more like Third Ward Houston.

That McDonald's was Upscale Homeless Guy Central. All the not-so-grotty homeless dudes had their backpacks on the floor and their computers on the counters in the back, as I guess McDonald's has free wi-fi.

In fact, I just might be posting this from that McDonald's. You never know.
