Haven't bought a game console since PS2 in 2001 but considering

buying one for Xmas. I'm usually a Madden, NBA 2K, Tekken kind

of guy and i know you can't go wrong with PS3 or XBox but the

Wii looks intriguing with all the Fitness games and i know XBox just

came out with this expensive ass Kinnect joint to go with the XBox

console. My problem with all of them are the games are just too

damn expensive more so now than they were in 2001. $59.99 for

a video game? Are you fuggin kiddin me. I feel sorry for parents with

kids that have to out and buy these expensive games year after year

after they master them and get bored with them.

I'm a casual gamer and have been for a while, so my opinion is by no means expert. But judging by the games you listed I'm figuring most people will say XBOX 360. I play Wii regularly with my nephew, though, and it IS a lot of fun. However, unless you like their proprietary games and characters A LOT, it's still basically a last gen system. The games on the XBOX 360 and PS3 are worlds apart from the Wii (I'm sure you know that). Plus, all three systems have the motion stuff now, I think. I know the PS3 does. I've been watching people play it all over the place while shopping. The dance games actually look like fun. Much more fun than looking silly like that in an arcade. The other gaming I've done the most of recently was Call of Duty 4 on the XBOX 360 network. One of the most fun gaming experiences I've ever had. PS3 is a Blu-Ray player. So, I'm sure I didn't help at all.

I plan on buying a Wii in the next 2 or 3 months but I'm cool now with my Retron3 and DS

I have all of them, and I say PS3.

We have PS3. My teenagers and local kids swear that XBox is not good. Also, last I heard, in order to play online, even if you have internet service, Xbox will charge you an additional fee to game online. PS3 does not.

Just picked up Wii and some fitness accessories for Christmas.....looking forward to it.

Appreciate everyone's perspective. It will be a tough decision but i'm

leaning towards Wii. I have Best Buy gift cards totaling 100 bucks.

I'm just not sure the Madden game would be user friendly with the Wii

controllers.

we got a ps3 last Christmas and I have been a little *eh* about it. Not totally thrilled, although GTA4 multiplayer is pretty crazy.

This year the kids are getting a wii and I know they loooooove playing it at their friends' houses.

I think the xbox 360 is better. The only thing that sucks is that you have to pay for xbox live

Hey phunk - I was playing this on my cousin's wall-size HDTV - un-fucking-real!!!

I have a wii and a ps3, but I really fancy the Xbox 360. I doubt i'll bother though as there's really no point while I have the other consoles. The motion sensor games thingys look fun.

I'm sorry. I was just implying that by having all three, I've played hours and hours with each system, lol. So, you know, you can trust my judgment I guess. Since you like Madden, NBA 2K, and shooters, I think you would appreciate the free online feature of PS3 so you can always have opponents if no one is with you to play. Plus, with the PS3 Move controllers you'll be able to play games similar to the Wii (in much higher resolution), including fitness games. And being able to use it as an internet browser (like a computer) and Blu-Ray player are also cool reasons to purchase one.

See, I knew people would have better, more reasoned out answers than mine.

Interesting so many people still go for the PS3. In the past I would have said that instantly. But I think I've finally gotten used to the XBOX controller configuration. Didn't know you had to pay for their online service, though. I only play at a friends house.

Xbox is easily better for gaming, especially online gaming.

PS3 if you want a blu ray player.

The Wii will be collecting dust in 3 months.

PS3 Motion smokes the Wii. The wii graphics are so cheesy and ridiculous. The PS3 is nice! At makes you really feel like your inside the game.

PS3 all the way. The exclusives alone kills the competitors. Uncharted 2, GOW3, Killzone 2, Heavy Rain, gran turismo 5 etc..

2011 is gonna be huge too...uncharted 3, Killzone 3, Little big planet 2, Resistance 3, plus all the multi plat games.....OMG.

Go for the ps3, you won't regret it.
