tis the season for new cellphones.... Y'all get anything new for Xmas?
I just ordered a T-Mobile G2, IMO the best Android phone available. I considered the new Nexus S, but I can't live without a physical keyboard.
I can't wait for this bad boy to arrive next week! The latest version of Android (2.3 Gingerbread) makes every other mobile operating system look like a joke!

I just picked up the Galaxy S Vibrant this week. So far so good.

Awesome choice! My cousin has that phone, although it's just known as the Galaxy S here in the UK as we don't have variants of it on different networks. She loves it!

Got this early October. Not as pretty as some smartphones out there, but I love it. Probably the best investment in a while, moving up from an old Blackberry model and all. Pandora Radio in the car is the best thing to happen in my life since fatherhood.

I have never owned a cellular phone.
You're so glam, every time I see you I wanna slam!

Oh. Well in your case I suggest something on the Campbell's or Progresso network. Their Cream of Mushroom models have the best overall value.

Droid X? That is a BEAST. I was looking at them in the Verizon store when I was in the US last month. That is a seriously sick phone.
Also I might mention that as an Android enthusiast since the launch of the G1 back in 2008, I'm happy that the first two responses in this thread are both fellow Android owners Best OS out there! |

I love my X10. I'm patiently awaiting the OS update, but it still does everything I need it to do...well.

Yeah I feel like I need to upgrade everything else in my life to make the most of its capabilities. A new TV. New computer...I need it all. [Edited 12/18/10 16:21pm]

The 2.1 update? I don't know about where you are but here the 2.1 update is available for the X10. It doesn't come over the air though, I believe you have to use Sony's software to do it. My uncle has this phone and he keeps asking me to update it for him, I should get around to it next week.
It is a very nice device. My uncle doesn't know how to use most of the features on it lol, but I showed him how to use the Navigation, the YouTube app and I found a soccer app for him so he's happy. |

And I love it! But, if a post is too long I have to edit it down in order to reply. I can't seem to get behind the [/quote] if the post is at a certain length.

I think I've had that problem too. The screen size does somewhat alleviate the fact that it's a touch keyboard for me. Actually more space between the buttons it seems. [Edited 12/18/10 18:32pm]

My phone had an upgrade available since January but I didn't know about it. Well I finally got to download this upgrade and after it finished destroying the fuck out of my phone....once I got everything reset and redownloaded and was finally able to enjoy the damn upgrade features, I have to say my phone feels brand new. They improved so much with the touchscreen and homescreen and music player and GPS. Especially since I was walking around naive with the ghetto broke version. I haven't put my phone down in a few weeks and have gone crazy downloading songs to replace my library (I did pay for a few of them too!!) and getting apps which I hadn't even bothered before. I did have to get a new memory card, but they are so cheap on Amazon that it was not that big a deal. And after reformatting my old memory card I will put everything on it as backup so that if the next upgrade kills my phone I will be okay!
I also got a new case and my phone is soooo cute! The case is still purple and so is my theme!
So anyway still loving Nokia and my 5800 and Symbian. I'm actually cool with having a phone that is different (in America).
However I was eyeing the Nokia mini 97....

[Edited 12/18/10 18:32pm] It's big. For years my thing with cell phones has been, if prince.org didn't look good on it, I didn't want that one.

Got one of these:
And one of these:
Easilly the best devices I've used. Studies have shown the ass crack of the average Prince fan to be abnormally large. This explains the ease and frequency of their panties bunching up in it. |

One of my criteria was basically something I could manage my fantasy football team from.

my criteria was one I could look at porn on.

I mean...it wasn't one of the criteria that I was gonna throw out there...but it did get considered.

Hella jealous. The Epic 4G is my dream device right now. Unfortunately it's CDMA only so I can't import one and use it here.... and they never released it here
I hope they release a sequel in the same form factor with upgraded guts by this time next year cos I'll have moved to the US by then

I don't have one right now, it seems my natural state. Both times I've had a phone in the past I've carried it around either switched off or with a flat battery in the bottom of my bag, with everyone constantly pissed off at me for never answering so, for me, not having one might be best.

I'm still using my Palm Pre which was actually a holiday gift to myself last year at this time. I've yet to see a phone with a better UI (nothing beats the WebOS "card" interface) and I love the wireless/cordless charging. I'll be waiting to see new HP/Palm phones this Spring before looking at anything else.

I have to say I use it for just about everything but a phone, though. I almost never give out my number and hate people being able to find me where ever I go.
