Huzzah! (What are you stoked about this very second?)

It would of course be wrong of me to blame cborgman for this entirely, but I managed to drink myself a little tipsy while out having a great time with him last night. That wouldn't be that big a deal, except that I had a big writing deadline today for a freelance assignment, and this morning was my bleary-eyed opportunity to get the project done. I was on pins and needles when I sent it in because I wasn't sure of myself at all, but I just now got word from my client that what I did was "really great" and "just what [he] was looking for." Huzzah! Now I can start getting all jazzed and pumped for tonight's Prince concert without stressing over work. At this very second, I am very happy.

What are you happy about right now?

I'm stoked that my Sweetie gets healthier day by day. touched

And that our director won't be at rehearsal tonight. I wanted to kill him last night. mad

I'm glad to hear he's doing better. I know this had to be a really hard few weeks for you.

I'm stoked about tonight's dinner party with my neighbors. dancing jig (But nervous that they, trained chefs and wine aficianados, might laugh at the wine I selected to bring. )

What kind of wine are you bringing? (If I may ask.)

Well, I'm taking glögg (with raisins and toasted almonds) and an Argentine Malbec by Durigutti. Do you know if they are a decent winery? I was being cheap, but do you think I was being too cheap?

I've never had Durigutti, but Wine Spectator gave their 2007 malbec a rating of 90, and the description of it sounds delicious.

Lots of things have made me happy today.

I'm can't stop smiling about a phone call I had with a friend today.

I have my company christmas party tomorrow night and I know it's going to be good. And I also know exactly what i'm going to wear.

My kids broke up from school today, so no cold, early-morning school runs for a while.

My son finished half-days at school. As of January he will be full-time at school. And I will be (hopefully) working more.

Not so much stoked as nervous boxed I have a photography gig tonight at a Christmas party - the shots I take will be projected onto enormous screens during the evening, so no time for retouching or fixing poor exposure shake I'm scared!!!

A possible short trip next week which would, hopefully, include an important conversation for me.

If not - the thought of relaxing, going to concerts, hanging out with friends and seeing many of them for the first time in a while is making me quite satisfied.
