I'm sorry. lol I was just implying that by having all three, I've played hours and hours with each system, lol. So, you know, you can trust my judgment I guess. smile Since you like Madden, NBA 2K, and shooters, I think you would appreciate the free online feature of PS3 so you can always have opponents if no one is with you to play. Plus, with the PS3 Move controllers you'll be able to play games similar to the Wii (in much higher resolution), including fitness games. And being able to use it as an internet browser (like a computer) and Blu-Ray player are also cool reasons to purchase one.

I was just joking dude. You've and some of the other orgers have convinced me.

I'm going with the PS3 brand. I saw the commercial for PS3 move. Hell yes.

That's cool, but I'm a girl. lol

Congrats on your decision. You'll love it. thumbs up!

I apologize. I just assumed(making an ass out of me) lol that since

you were a gamer you were a guy. Thanks for your input. It has really

swayed my decision and i stand by Sony's brand anyway as the PS2

stood the test of time for a long time.

...and for updated rosters, slider settings and draft classes, just go to operationsports.com.

With 2K11, the control system has been changed, so you have to 'unlearn what you have learned'. You need to spend a lot of time in the lab, learning the moves, finding out which plays work. Even on Pro, the game is a serious challenge.

lol Ever tried to play with him? smile That game can be really fun, especially the online multiplayer "Zombie" mode, where you play as a team to solve objectives while killing undead monsters.

We have all 3 systems as well. I can say by far that we use the PS3 80% of the time. Online gaming is free, and both my son and husband use it all of the time to play against other people, son plays Madden, Black Ops, etc. hubby plays Mortal Kombat vs. DC. The Wii, while fun for the family, and younger kids, we have really slowed down on it's use, more for special occasions when family is together. My daughter uses the Wii the most. The 360, we hardly ever use anymore.

Phunk - you may want to check out Walmart, they are having a sale this weekend, if you buy the PS3, they have one for $299 with a $100 gift card, not sure which PS3 it is though. The other 2 systems have gift cards too, but for lesser amounts.

I still have my ColecoVision with the driving module, super action controllers and tracball. I also have the Atari 7800 and Sega 32X.

These are my arena sounds for NBA 2K11;

Tipoff - "Black"(Sevendust)
Long - "So Wat cha Sayin"(EPMD)
Home Up - "We Will Rock You"(Queen)
Away Up - "Beat It(Michael Jackson)
Chant Defense - (none)
Chant Team - "King of Rock"(Run DMC)
Halftime - "U.N.I.T.Y"(Queen Latifah)
Player of the Game - "So Ruff, So Tuff"(Roger Troutman)

Player sounds so far;

Amar'e - "Unbelievable"(Biggie)
Chandler - "The Shit is Real"(Fat Joe)
Gallinari - "Them Bones"(AIC)

I'm working on the rest of the roster.

Alot of people will try and sway you just because they are with a particular brand. A 360 fan will advise you to get one just because they have one, not because its a better machine. Its like football teams, the team people support is always the best in their eyes...whether they are top of the league or clearly rubbish and in last place.

I'll tell you my experiences and you can judge: I had an original Xbox, great piece of kit and never missed a beat. So when the 360 came out here in the UK (December, I forget what year now) I ore-ordered and got one on day of release. It lasted two days before it died (three red rings of death) so I took it back and got a refund. Got another one the following July; that one lasted until October until it to died of three red rings. The third one I got as a replacement I didnt use so gave to my little brother. He got a years use out it before it died to.

By this point I had a PS3 and advised my brother to trade in his 360 games and get one as well. We've both had our PS3s a couple of years now and neither of us have had any problems with them. Since the 360 has come out, about ten of my friends have had 360s die. I dont know anyone whose PS3 had died.

For me what games are on what machine, or what functions each machine has doesnt come into it. The 360 is alot less reliable and therefore too much of a liability. I'd hate to sit there gaming thinking "is this the night my 360 dies?"...cos it will happen.

We got a Wii last year. Its fun but only as a gimmick really. The controllers are a bit fiddly and its a pain having to keep batteries lying around for them. We got a charger pack but that doesnt work too well. It puts me off using it to be honest, when I have a spare five mins in the evening for a quick game I dont want to be hassled with "are the controllers charged, are they going to connect" etc.

Oh and as well as the Xbox 360's poor reliability, I have to second some of the other comments on here....

...PS3 is free to use for online gaming, but 360 isn't. Thats a big win in my book. As is the blu-ray player in the PS3. And surfing the net on my PS3 is super quick, alot easier than loading up my laptop...very handy! biggrin

all of my friends that have 360's.....every single one of them....have had them die on them at one point or another. They were fixed, but still.

I haven't ever had a problem with my PS3, but that's just because it's awesome. shrug

Not making shit up here...I plan on getting a PS3 as well myself. But of the 3 folks I know with a PS3, 2 have had theirs die on them. Of course, those 2 also own 360s that have gone bad as well...

My XBOX has gotten the red ring. I blame my old roommate for leaving the shit running all fucking day with Dora the Explorer in it.

Actually I guess I know 5 with a PS3 now that I think about it. The other two play so infrequently that I couldn't imagine any system ever dying on them though.
