I watched a few episodes, and while some of them were inspired and the storyline was compelling for a teen dramedy/musical, it jumped the shark after the Madonna episode. Once that episode blew up, it became about which star's songbook could be covered and which famous guest stars could appear on the show and not about the overall storyline.

If you're ever in New York--and I totally think you should come when chocolate1 and I have our Seinfeld quote-a-thon--I could take you to the olive bar at Fairway, which is where I bought my green olives tonight. It's an olive smorgasbord.

I would be in HEAVEN! Not only for the olives, but the company as well!!

When we lived in California for a few years as a young girl, my parents would make trips to Pismo beach and stop at the fruit stands on the way to buy me these jars of the biggest olives id ever seen! Mind you, I was raised most of my life in Nebraska and we didnt have such stuff!!

I've never watched it but isn't Glee targeted mostly towards teen girls and gay guys?

The first half of the first season was awesome...then Fox put more money into it and its lost a bit of its charm. All the aforementioned Madonna love and guests stars are ruining it IMO.

But mark my words: Sue Sylvester will go down as one of the greatest characters in television history. Jane Lynch already has one Emmy...we'll see if she gets more.

She is friggin hilarious and the only reason I still watch.

Well, her and Rachel. I have a huge crush on the perky Miss Rachel Berry. That smile!!!

^I just wish that the writers didn't try and soften up the Sue character, shes best when shes just pure evil.

Watched the "Madonna tribute" episode to see what the big brouhaha's all about when I was sick, and got pissed off for wasting my time on that shit when I could've done something better like staring at the walls in my room until they start moving.

falloff I think the pilot episode was the best of all, I especially liked the scence where, oh, what's his name, the glee director, was remeniscing about his childhood when his stepdad was lawnspraying and broke out with "Don't Stop Believin." Perhaps it's because I'm a huge Steve Perry fan. I just thought his voice was amazing.
