You (and I for that matter) may frown upon the relationship of an inevitably naive 17 year old and a much older man, but the father acting in such a boneheaded reactionary way is nothing to get excited about.

This isn't some cool vigilante doing some amazingly compassionate deed, it's a dumb fuck acting like a retard.

There would have to be MUCH more to this story to change my opinion.

I don't think anyone is condoning this, I'm sure we are a lil suprised at the over the top reaction. The father could have handle this in better way, under calmer circumstances; he didn't and he's been arrested and charged with attempt of murder.
