Don't feel bad. I watch "The Christmas Story" movie every year, because my son used to watch it on rerun when he was younger, but I just love that movie. It's hilarious. I like the part when the lead kid actor finally stood up to the bully.
A 25 year old co-worker of mine (female) asked if I watched Charlie Brown Christmas last night. I said of course. She said she and her 25 year old boyfriend didn't watch it. She went on to say that it would have been lame for two 25 year olds (no kids) to have watched it. I strongly disagree. My thought is you're never to young, old, hip etc... to watch Charlie Brown Christmas.
Tell your co-worker to go find some business . . .
I have a 22 year old daughter and we will watch Charlie Brown Christmas several times before the holiday. VainAndy and Genesia are mature enough to remember, "Frosty The Snowman", "Little Drummer Boy", "Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer", "Grinch That Stole Christmas (1960)", "Walton's Christmas", and one about Momma Clause, I forgot the title. These movies were shown every holiday unitll the late 70's. Now they only air, Charlie Brown Christmas.
Don't forget Santa Claus is Coming To Town - narrated by Fred Astaire! With Burgermeister Meisterburger!
Rudolph aired for the first time when I was around 5 years old. It isn't Christmas without it. My favorite character is the Charlie-in-the-box.

Heck no. I'm 40. My old man is 45. The first thing we looked for after Thanksgiving dinner was the Charlie Brown special and we cracked up watching it. Yesterday I just dowlnoaded Charlie Brown Christmas so we have our entertainment lined up for the next holiday

I got you beat!! Not only do my brother and I watch it every year, but when we do, we break out the LP version of the special and play it along with what is going on, on the TV...and we are 43 and 37, respectively.....Not lame at all!!
A friend gave me a CD of the soundtrack - awesome stuff.

The Lp had a booklet inside, so you could follow along with the recording.
"Love is like peeing in your pants, everyone sees it but only you feel its warmth"
She understands the older folk watching it, thats not her point. Her emphasis is the twenty somethings who watch it. She says that if your in your 20's, no kids, it's lame to watch it. She said you either have to have kids or old or older.
Do you remember lying in bed
With your covers pulled up over your head?
Radio playin' so no one can see - The Ramones

tell her she's missing out! why does she care so much, i bet she locks herself in the bathroom and watches on her cell phone so her boyfriend doesn't see her.
Too old at 25 to watch Charles/Chuck/Charlie? Hell no! I'm 37, and not only did I watch it the other night, I recorded it. And all the other holidays cartoons too.

you nailed it. She said she had it on to watch it (just as she did when she was a kid), but then her boyfriend said NO WAY, we're not watching that, so they changed it. Imagine that? They changed Charlie Brown Christmas.

Ooooh, it was the boyfriend. Got it. Well she should dump him right now. The world needs more nostalgic cheese, damn it! So what if it's slow and it has a message. Sounds like dude needs to watch more than most.

Dude, the world needs more of every kind of cheese!

I remember all of those. Also, don't forget about "Rudolph's Shiny New Year".

Hey, ABC Family is airing Santa Claus Is Coming To Town and The Year Without a Santa Claus back to back tonight beginning at 8:00 pm EST (7:00 pm CST). A fine chance to check out the feuding Miser brothers.

I layed down with love and I woke up with lies
