I wouldn't hold out much hope for the tape deck, though. Or the Creedence tapes.

I know exactly what you mean. I have gloves and socks like that - used to wear them for skiing. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

I was so disappointed when I saw Tricia Helfer on Craig Fergusun. She had nothing to say My Legacy

This reminds me of a Norm MacDonald joke:
'I quit smoking through hypnosis. The good news? I'm a lot healthier! The bad news? I apparently no longer have free will.'

my sister has not been answering her phone (since yakking away for hours on the phone was ciggy time) or trusting herself out in social situations for about 2 months - since a drink in one hand means a smoke in the other. I don't know how her partner puts up with it! He just says 'oh, you know how she is"

Yikes. And I thought Sweetie had problems with his cold hands and feet (a side issue with his Crohn's disease). We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

i love that pete burns, is a person who is truly happy being the person he is. he seems like a person who lives truly to the beat of his own drum. there are so many people in this world who conform and act like pantomimes of each other. for what reason? for mundane things like acceptance! i say live life the way you want to...have your own aesthetics...wear what you want to wear. defy gender if you feel like breaking the norms of gender, etc... Do what thou wilt. Love is the law, love under will

he just announced a new 5 year deal
How is it you feel? | |

Awesome news! Listening to him stretch this announcement out is totally making me late for work, but it's worth it.

I sat in the parking lot of my office until he finally said something about resigning didn't listen to details after that but I'm really happy now, if Bubba is back too I'm a happy guy How is it you feel?
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
I should try listening to Bubba sometime. I hear he's great. I get totally wrapped up in Stern.
The rest of the announcement about Stern reupping his contract didn't give too many details, at least for the part I was listening to. He said it gives him more flexibility in his hours but he's still committed to giving his listeners fresh morning content. Personally, I'd like it just fine if he started the show at 7 rather than 6. If that's the way he had to jumble the schedule, no problem.

Show runtime will be the same: 6am - 10am (going longer if they want to - no different than current deal). BUT there will be 'flexibility' in terms of the schedule. This can only mean:
a) He eventually (maybe even next year) goes down to 3 days/wk. b) They go "seasonal" (e.g. summers off). c) all of the above.
Now that he's signed for another 5, got to look into whether a "lifetime" sub would be worth it...

I was watching Hollywood Ending recently, and they were referencing his hypochondriasis, and how he at one point thought he had Elm Blight My Legacy
