Pete Burns

What was it about him that you found compelling?

i love that pete burns, is a person who is truly happy being the person he is. he seems like a person who lives truly to the beat of his own drum. there are so many people in this world who conform and act like pantomimes of each other. for what reason? for mundane things like acceptance! i say live life the way you want to...have your own aesthetics...wear what you want to wear. defy gender if you feel like breaking the norms of gender, etc... Do what thou wilt. Love is the law, love under will

I should try listening to Bubba sometime. I hear he's great. I get totally wrapped up in Stern.

The rest of the announcement about Stern reupping his contract didn't give too many details, at least for the part I was listening to. He said it gives him more flexibility in his hours but he's still committed to giving his listeners fresh morning content. Personally, I'd like it just fine if he started the show at 7 rather than 6. If that's the way he had to jumble the schedule, no problem.

Show runtime will be the same: 6am - 10am (going longer if they want to - no different than current deal). BUT there will be 'flexibility' in terms of the schedule. This can only mean:

a) He eventually (maybe even next year) goes down to 3 days/wk.

b) They go "seasonal" (e.g. summers off).

c) all of the above.

Now that he's signed for another 5, got to look into whether a "lifetime" sub would be worth it...
