Hi guy's! Been a while since Ive been here! Ive missed you all! I just wanted to start a catch up thread to see what's been going on with you all!

Sooooooo, Im going to be a GRANDMA! Im not gonna lie though... Im still a little freaked out! Im starting a whole new chapter in my life and its come on so fast! Her and her bf just moved in together and now they are getting married on wednesday... Its a simple civil ceremony, she needs to be on his insurance because she cant get into a doctor without it... Dont even get me started on all that BULLSHIT!

So she is excited but yet a little dissapointed, but I told her after the baby we will have a beautiful ceremony And the sweetest part about it is the other nite she told me... " I dont mind that im getting married like this, but Im sad because I know you will be dissapointed because we have always talked about planning my wedding and now you wont have that" Poor thing has so many things to worry about and she is worried about ME...

My son is doing ok in Afghanistan, I hadnt heard from him in a while so I posted a guilt message on fb and he emailed me last nite.. His wife told me some stuff I wish I didnt know but I think she needed to share her worry with me..

My job is going great! gets kinda boring sometimes but all the guys are wonderful! The only thing that bothers me is I work with a bunch of PIGS! The break room... The microwave is so coated in food particles it reeks like bad fish.... the refridge door is black, and its a white fridge... But they are mechanics, so I just stay OUT OF THERE or I will have a nervous breakdown! Ive already scoured my working area in alcohol... Im not joking...

Congratulations on the good news. Don't they say that being a grandparent is the reward for not killing your own kids? It's an exciting time for you!

Glad all is going ok with your new job. I used to work with a bunch of dirty mechanics too, so I completely understand where you're coming from. I remember when one of the mechanics used my cup - I never drank from it again.

Although I must admit that I learned some of my favourite dirty words working with those guys.

I'm on my own for the very first time, in a lovely Italian city. I'm feeling quite awake and questioning all my choices. There are some important relationships in my life that are finally getting healthier, and some that are getting harder. I'm looking for balance right now. I often try to let all my thoughts go, but it's very hard. Tonight I found peace in dancing, as I often do.

I miss my friends very much, those that are studying in other cities. I honestly enjoy going back to my hometown whenever I have the chance.

Oh, and congratulatations to the family! I'm sure the baby will feel very wanted and loved, which is, really, the most important thing in the world!

I have lost close to 50 lbs since May It's been 10 yrs since I have been in this good of shape I'm feeling great! and hope to be at my ideal weight by next May It's been some hard work! and lots of discipline but all so worth it!

Hmmmm not much at the moment.

Just got back from a fab trip back home to Florida a few weeks ago to see family and friends.

Other than that, just hoping my last winter here will be milder than last.

Sort of ready to be done with 2010. I think 2011 will be a good year to move! My wonderful hubby is going through his US visa process so we can move back to the states.

That's exciting news for sure

SO exciting. This is gonna be the first home we've ever purchased or moved into where practically NOTHING has to be done to make it nice or to our taste. Floors are all hardwood upstairs and tile downstairs. No carpets to pull up (only a little patch in the sunroom which is gonna become the mudroom (to let the dogs out) and two strips of fence to replace (mostly cause the big dog could clear it if he wanted ). The entire kitchen is brand new and upgraded (granite/stainless) and the bathrooms are all brand new. I feel like I'm dreaming. Even the paint is nice. We're only painting the dining room, kitchen and den to suit our tastes.

I already have paint samples here.
