You're right about Lipitor. It's expensive but a 90 day supply lasts. I'm about to talk to my
doc soon and ask about a generic Lovastatin. Lovastatin is a lot cheaper with my insurance.
I've read where Lipitor will be forced to come out with a generic form in two years.
Go to Lipitor's site and see if you guys can sign up for the prescription program. I get mine for free.
And it kicks ass. I've lowered my cholesterol by 50+ points.
Thanks

Don't forget the candied yams on that plate too...

Yum!
Who needs to wait for the holiday. I'm making me some candied yams this weekend, but I like mine either chunked or sliced with the marshmellow completely dissolved. |

I now live in New England and I miss living down South where they almost always offered collards as a vegetable option in restaurants. There came a time when the risk of remaining tight in the bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom. Anais Nin. |

Pardon my ignorance, but how is hot water cornbread different from regular cornbread?
" Hot Water Cornbread is an African American soulfood item and is unique to the South. The cornbread is a mixture of cornmeal and water cooked on top of a skillet in cooking oil. This cornbread is mixed with water to make a batter then placed on the skillet. The sizes of the cornbread range from two to five inches. You can also customize your own cornbread with your own seasonings. This is usually eaten with collard greens, mustard greens, and spinach. This is cooked on the holidays when people cook or make soul food items. The bread is a fast cooked bread."
Mmmmmm. Also known as a ho cake (no, I'm not kidding for you non Suthunuhs). My grandma made the best ho cake--crispy on bottom and edges--just right. |

See? What'd I say!
Ya'll remember tea cakes? The place I used to get my hair done at had this lady who would come through on Saturday selling backed goods. Her cookies and tea cakes were off da chain! |

I caved, and went for a Mcdouble and small fry. But I'm proud of myself for not going there more often. |
