Puppy love? Mmm, not sure since its 25 years later and I still think of her everyday. See my sig below? That's a lyric from a song I wrote and recorded about her back in 1994.

lurking I need to re-record that song, with Threadbare replacing my guitar solo.

You're married now, right?

Does your wife know you still think about your ex every day? sad

It's what you make it.

Yes, I'm married. shrug And my wife knows the Renee story quite well, the song I referenced yadda yadda.

As for me, a gorgeous friend of one of my best friends, during college. I'll call her the Doctor. She wound up marrying a guy named Soup.

I doubt it. lol

The whole Renee thing is not even so much about how I love or still love her, because I don't. I do and always will love that time span in my life that I use Renee to symbolize. That part is not so hard to understand or believe, when you get to know me better.

But I can see how my initial post made it seem like I was still in love with her...not the best choice of words in my part, for sure.

It's a funny ass and yet a sad ass story actually. lurking One best reserved for orgnotes to avoid further public attention.

I don't think I found my love yet. So...

First Kiss was when I was a candy stripper at the hospital. I was 15, almost 16 and he was 18 and in a body cast because he was in a motorcycle accident. ALL the girls went to see him regularly but I was his special one wink . The hospital was St Vincents and it had a nun running the volunteer dept. She found me perched on his bed and bent over him and kissing him. She told me I was an embarassment to the candystrippers and to take off my uniform NOW! I told her I did not have anything on underneath it eek .

Anyway his last name was Nelson and I spent many a wacky moment writing my name followed by the name Nelson on any paper I could find lol.

I spent 5 years together with someone who proclaimed (on my wedding day no less) that he thought the 2 of us were only together because everyone thought we made a great couple confused so, if that was a totally one-sided thing, it couldn't have been LOVE, even though at the time I thought it was real deal. He broke up and got back together with me twice, and got mad that during the last break (which lasted quite a few months) I got it on with my flat mate lurking

I met him when I was 14 and we eventually were involved for 10 years. It took me a very long time to get over him. He's married now but we're still good friends and I no longer long to be with him romantically at all.

1st love? Remi, a french guy 8yrs older than me! We were best friends, my family loved him, his family loved me, same ideas, etc. Only problem? He was an atheist. At the time, I was Catholic. He had lied to me for 2 years that he was too, but wasn't. I tried to make it work, but my heart just wasn't in it anymore. I still loved him...but it wasn't the same anymore.

We split, he went back to France, and I went to college. We remained friends, he was hoping I'd change my mind. The semester ended, I moved in with my sister. A couple weeks later, I met Ramiro, an illegal immigrant from Mexico who didn't speak a word of english..somehow, we clicked and fell in love. When I moved to Mexico a year later,it was official, I had moved on.

Remi and I are still in contact through FB and email even though its been 7yrs since we split. He's been through all my other relationships with me.. He says he wishes we could work it out...

Prince is GORGEOUS. I'm inspired. GOD is GREAT. Is there anything else to say? lol

I had lots of teeny crushes through my childhood, but my first hardcore up-all-night, heartaching crush was on someone -- a girl, actually -- in Grade 6. Her name was Marnae mushy, and she was the GF of a longtime frenemy of mine named Fred. I never told anyone, and eventually the crush subsided.

My first adult love was with a guy named Todd. I adored him, and besides becoming a spouse/father, the time I spent getting to know him has been the most crowning and crucifying phase of my life. Our friendship (or whatever you could call it) went down in flames, and I think it was because we were Bizarro versions of one another -- way too alike, yet too different in the wrong ways, to work together.

EDIT: I just recalled... hmmm I did tell my wife about the crush I had on Marnae back in Grade 6. By sheer coincidence, she and Marnae then met at a baby shower for a mutual friend a couple years later. My wife told Marnae how much I'd been in love with her almost 25 years prior. redface, and Marnae (who is sooo not my type now shake ) told my wife she thought I was cute back then and should have said something. smile Funny how things work.
