Solutions for dry winter skin

I use Weleda skin food, Kiehl's Creme de Corps and their hand salve for my winter skin. What do you use? A humidifier is a must too.

Because I'm diabetic, I use Eucerin. It is the absolute best. I would suggest anyone with severely dry skin use it.

Curél is the best winter body lotion, hands down.

I have oily skin, so if I over moisturize with an oily lotion I get breakouts... but my skin is dry enough to get dry patches and hyperpigmentation...

I'm a mess in the winter, my solution?

I EXFOLIATE like a mutha, and use blends of lotions and oil depending on which spots need what.

In the shower I lotion my whole body from my scalp to my toes with refined coconut oil, then rinse lightly.

For the rough spots I add Aquaphor or vaseline with a mixture of Eucerine lotion. A little goes a long way, elbows, hands, knees and face (but only to guard against wind burn from the cold winds)

I wash my face nightly to prevent breakouts. I also use a humidifier and I also have a steamer to press my clothes.

No one lotion is good for me. But I stick to my honey soap or dove soap.

Yep...natural all the way. I have very dry, sensitive light skin. Even in summer. I have tried every lotion known to woman. None works unless I keep applying it every few hours. Olive oil or straight vitamin E out of the capsule works wonders.

Mineral oil. It's used as a laxative. But use it with your normal lotion, and your skin won't dry up as quickly. Plus mineral oil is $1.99 in most drug stores.

Definitely. nod

I've started using the oil cleansing method, mixing olive oil (to moisturize) with castor oil (as an astringent) and whatever essential oil strikes my fancy (for fragrance). I do it maybe 2 or 3 times a week, and I love its effects on my skin. Keeps it clean, elastic and balanced.

Many love Dove ~ it drys my skin though

I make my own soaps mostly and have for 30ish yrs or so ~ I use mostly 100% orgainc ingredients and oils

this works ok

Tom’s of Maine Natural Care Moisturizing Body Bar
olive oil, jojoba, vitamin E, and palm and coconut oils.

Also ~ look up / into "Kiss My Face" soaps ~ they rock as do their lotions

also ~ JASON Rosewater Satin Soap

and handcrafter Goast milk n honey soaps
