Dexter Season 5 is da bomb!

Contains spoilers!!!

Wow I just can't believe how good this season is. With Dexter finally meeting a woman (Lumen) who he can connect with and accepts him for who he is. But it seems things are spinning out of control with Jordan Chase setting a trap for our killer couple. And will deb finally find out this season??? Will the remaining Fuentes brother kill Laguerta?? Willl Quinn take the fall for Liddy's spying on Dexter??

Only 2 episodes left to go! Can't wait!

I thought I was gonna hate Julia Stiles but her character is wonderful, I hope she somehow sticks around for the next season. It'd be too repetative for her to die after Rita. I'm gonna guess that Deb or Quinn will find out Lumen is the victim/vigilante and she will say Dexter has nothing to do with anything, she just needed a house to plan her revenge and Dexter's was available. Since Deb is all "I didn't feel remorse/I'd kill them myself" she'll keep her revenge killings secret (although that will put the job she loves so much into jeopardy). Unless Jordan Chase reveals them both, or Liddy, but I doubt that. Liddy's in for a gruesome death, I'm sure. Chase might escape. WTF was up with his victim? Weirdddd.

My only disappointment this season has been how the family of Trinity haven't been seen again since Quinn got arrested for talking to them. I thought they'd be heavily involved in this season. I was a little annoyed that Rita's kids were shuffled off to the grandparents to make things easier for Dexter, too. But Astor annoys me so I'm kinda glad she went.

I also have the feeling that Jordan might escape this season. Yeah Liddy's gonna die he's getting too close to the truth... But will it be Dex or Quinn that does the killing? Purplesweat I agree with your thought that Deb finds out about Lumen and lets her off the hook.

I'd say Dexter...although according to Harry's rules, Liddy would be an innocent person. confused

Hmmm...Quinn might kill Chase, that'll get him back in Deb's good books (and Dex's, in a way).

Best thing about Dexter: being two eps away from the end of the season and having NO clue where everything will end up.

the second half of the season has been crazy good. I'm so enjoying the show right now.

It would be so sad to see Deb lose yet another guy she cares for to another murder though, which I think would be by that lunatic Liddy now that Quinn has turned on him.

can't wait for the remaining two episodes, exciting stuff!!

ps. I feel so twisted after finding that scene with Dex teaching Lumen how to finish the guy quite touching/romantic. lol

I don't think there's anything wrong with her. I think she was basically placed there for convenience sake so Dexter can do his thing without Deb (who would probably be watching Harrison if the nanny wasn't) all up in his business when he gets home. It gives him the same freedom to wander about at night he had with Rita.

I think Quinn eventually finds out. I don't know that he'll die though. The only alternative I can think of is maybe Dexter discovering some of the shit IA was looking for about Quinn and the two are forced to keep each other's secret. Or Quinn is just so "in love" that he won't ruin things for Deb, so he keeps his mouth shut, and not even Dexter knows he knows.

Perhaps that's a bit far-fetched.

I guess the reason I'm being suspicious of her is because the actress is kind of fairly known, as opposed to them hiring some random extra for such small role. that and the fact that Dexter finds her to be too perfect to be true. but again, I'm always being suspicious of everything lol.

as for the whole Dexter/Liddy/Quinn storyline, this what I'm guessing so far: Liddy will obviously keep sniffing after Dexter, Quinn finds out, tries to stop him but ends up getting hurt/killed (whatever case that'll just get him off of Dexter's back for good). Liddy will keep going after Dexter, the latter finds out and he eventually sets him up the way he did Doakes on the finale of season 2, so no more threats hovering around Dexter. as for Jordan, I think Dexter will be the one that gets him, but Lumen will be the one that finishes him off so she finally gets her revenge from those guys.

and can I say I hate how Deb seems to always be the one that is closest to the way Dexter functions? she's just always a step away from finding out, so nerve wrecking!

I love this show!

that would be awful for real. I'm guessing she'll just end up going back to her family after getting her revenge from that gang.

I thought the first 2-3 episode were kinda slow, but now? Best. Season. Ever.

The scene where Mazuka (sp?) "explained" what they thought happened between the two guys in the warehouse was hilarious. I laughed so hard. lol

I've been loving it love It's not as good as last season, in my opinion, and it started off slow, but it's been getting so good.

Co-sign.

Strangely, though the first 2-3 episodes were slow, I think the pace on this one is much faster than last season. I guess it has to be with more targets for them to take out.

The preview of the finale makes it look like they're not even gonna be the ones to get Jordan. Looks like the police are gonna end up doing their dirty work.

And it seems pretty clear that it'll end up looking like Jordan and Emily were the vigilantes that eventually turned on each other or something.

And I'm guessing Lumen goes home to her family in the end. Maybe we'll see a cameo a season or two from now.

I thought Deb on one and Dexter and Lumen on the other side of the curtain was one of the best Dexter scenes ever. nod

Loooved Deb's scene behind the curtain. She's through and through a 100% good cop and that would've taken all her strength to turn away from two criminals like that. Her character development has been really good this season and she's made Quinn bearable, too.

I was really dissappointed in Lumen leaving like that but I think she'll be back somehow.

What a season this turned out to be. Loved the finale, and really felt for Dexter when Lumen told him she had to go.

Loved the scene with Dex and Lumen behind the plastic and Deb on the other side. So nerve wrecking.

Sorry though that Jordan went down so easy, hoped he had more of a fight in him.

Now a long wait for season 6!!
