I have a loan money to family addiction which sucks because the money is still gone, but I don't get to take anything home.

It's absolutely a yeti look...I think that's why I love it. It's ridiculously fabulous.

I'm trying to justify all this buying by reminding myself that I am moving to a small ass town and the shopping is going to suck. I need to get this all now.

Plus, I actually want to be that odd chick in the town that dresses "weird" (to them).

My son wants a Kinnect this year. So I think I'll have to pick that up early since I think every kid wants it this year.

Perhaps. At this point I haven't heard much about there being a shortage of them, but I imagine that could very well change. But I think usually the high demand electronics are in short supply even this far out from Christmas, if that's a sign of anything to come.

Certain items, yes. And it's automatic - I don't even think about it. Fortunately, most of the time they aren't very expensive. In general, shopping, yes. But buying, no. I can shop all day long without ever spending money.... unless I go in a book or record store. In that case, see the beginning of this response.

My kid told me he wants KNex (I don't know what it is but he spelled it out) is that the same thing? this is not one of the 2 kids who don't know what they want, this guy has a list as long as my arm.

I don't think I have used the phrase "in full effect" since the early 90's. Probably didn't even use it then.

Doesn't seem to be a shortage of any game systems or peripherals in the Bay Area yet. I was out shopping a lot over this past weekend and they had everything at pretty much ever store I went to. Watching people play the new motion sensor games (like with the Kinect) was really annoying, but highly entertaining. Fools jumpin' up and down, back and forth, contorting their bodies weird ways RIGHT THERE in the stores while people walked by and looked at 'em like

Oh! we have never had a set of those, but funnily enough, we have pieces like that here and there in the lego box

No Lincoln Logs? For shame! I think they looked the coolest, but actually had the least amount of replay time. I seem to remember using them with my Legos or Erector Set a few times.
