They definitely have some play-makers.
Last week there was some chatter that Bill Cowher was considering coming here. I doubt it though.
I still got love for the Iggles since I'm originally from Philly...plus I'm hella proud of Vick too. [Edited 12/26/10 19:54pm] Prince, in you I found a kindred spirit...Rest In Paradise.

Jake is garbage, but at least Miami has Henne cheap.
I honestly would love Mike Vick in Miami. He's a free agent after this season but the Eagles may franchise him and trade Kolb. Vick in Miami would be heaven as long as they run a similar system to Philly(and his work habits stay consistent), which means a coach like Gruden would be needed there, and I ain't feeling Jon Gruden as a coach. Won in TB due to Dungy's players. [Edited 12/26/10 19:53pm] "Old man's gotta be the old man. Fish has got to be the fish."

It's not the Giants way to fire coaches with time left on their contract. Coughlin still has a year to go. He won't get an extension if the Giants don't make the playoffs.

Cowher is a better fit in New York or such. Miami needs an offensive coach. Tired of defensive coordinators, half assed retreads from other teams. "Old man's gotta be the old man. Fish has got to be the fish."

I can't see Gruden in Miami. Cowher, on the other hand, would be a good fit, but I don't think the rumors of him being interested are true. Prince, in you I found a kindred spirit...Rest In Paradise.

WIth JLo, Marc Antony and the William sisters owning a piece of the team, they will want to make a splash so you may be right. I do like Dungy if he wants to come back "Old man's gotta be the old man. Fish has got to be the fish."

I was impressed with the Webb kid. He looks way better than Tavaris Jackson.
With this win, the Bears have no incentive to beat Green Bay. Even if the Giants win, they won't make the playoffs. This has been a lousy year - 41 fucking turnovers.

The Bears still have an outside shot to get the #1 seed, so they have some incentive. As an Eagles fan, I hope this was the wake-up call they needed. I'm a little worried that this is the second year in a row they've let a first-round bye slip out of their hands. Now it looks like Green Bay is up next. Tough matchup, but definitely doable. I was hoping for the Vikes to lose, but as an Eagles fan,I would worry about the pass protection on Mike Vick. When he gets hit, he gets HIT! I read they're sitting him for the final game, so Kolb will get a chance to showcase his skills for another team (Dolphins, 49ers, Carolina)more than likely "Old man's gotta be the old man. Fish has got to be the fish."

The Bears have a very small bit of incentive right now to go out and put some serious pain on the Packers (or at least try to put some pain on them), but that may disappear by game time Sunday afternoon. The Bears-Packers game is scheduled to start at 4:15 pm EST, but the Atlanta Falcons are hosting the Carolina Packers at 1:00 pm EST, and I highly doubt that the Panthers are going to be able to beat the Falcons on their home turf. So it looks like horrible news for Giants and Buccaneers fans, as not only do they have to win their respective games and hope that the other team loses, but their playoff hopes will most likely rest on the arm of Caleb Hanie, the swift feet of Chester Taylor and Garrett Wolfe, the sure hands of Rashied Davis and Devin Aromashadou, and the crushing pass rush of Henry Melton and Corey Wootton.

The steelers must beat Cleveland on Sunday to nail down the number two seed and a first round bye which is sorely needed to get some people healthy. Don't laugh at my funk

Here's the playoff scenario as of today:
AFC
New England Patriots have clinched the AFC East division title, earned the number one seed and a first round bye, and have home field advantage throughout the AFC playoffs.
Pittsbugh Steelers have clinched a playoff berth and are in position to clinch the AFC North division title, earn a first round bye, and have home field advantage for at least the divisional playoff round with a victory over the Cleveland Browns or a loss by the Baltimore Ravens to the Cincinnati Bengals. Should they lose to the Browns and the Ravens defeat the Bengals, they would go into the playoffs as a wildcard as the sixth seed.
Kansas City Chiefs have clinched the AFC West Division title and will host a first round playoff game. They are in position to earn the third seed with a victory over the Oakland Raiders or a loss by the Indianapolis Colts to the Tennessee Titans. Should the Chiefs lose and the Colts win, the Indianpolis Colts will earn the third seed.
Indianapolis Colts are in position to win the AFC South division title, earn the fourth seed, and host a first round playoff game with a victory over the Tennessee Titans or a loss by the Jacksonville Jaguars to the Houston Texans.
Baltimore Ravens have clinched a playoff berth and can win the AFC North division title, earn the number two seed and a first round bye, and have home field for at least the divisional playoff round with a victory over the Cincinnati Bengals and a loss by the Pittsburgh Steelers to the Cleveland Browns. Otherwise, they will enter the playoffs as a wildcard and earn the fifth seed.
New York Jets have clinched a playoff berth and are in position to enter the playoffs as a wildcard with the sixth seed. They can rise up to the fifth seed with a victory over the Buffalo Bills, a Ravens victory over the Bengals, and a Browns victory over the Steelers.
Jacksonville Jaguars are currently on the outside of the playoffs looking in. However, they still have a shot of winning the AFC South division title with a victory over the Houston Texans and a loss by the Indianapolis Colts to the Tennessee Titans.
NFC
Atlanta Falcons have clinched a playoff berth and are in position to clinch the NFC South division title, earn the number one seed and a first round bye, and have home field advantage throughout the NFC playoffs with a victory over the Carolina Panthers or losses by the Chicago Bears to the Green Bay Packers and the New Orleans Saints to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Should they lose to the Panthers and the Saints defeat the Buccaneers, they would enter the playoffs as a wildcard and earn the fifth seed.
Chicago Bears have clinched the NFC North division title, earned the number two seed and a first round bye, and have home field advantage for at least the divisional round of the playoffs. They can earn the number one seed, a first round bye, and have home field advantage throughout the NFC playoffs with a victory over the Green Bay Packers and losses by the Atlanta Falcons to the Carolina Panthers and the New Orleans Saints to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Philadelphia Eagles have clinched the NFC East division title, earned the number three seed, and will host a first round playoff game.
New Orleans Saints have clinched a playoff berth and can win the NFC South division title, earn the number one seed and a first round bye, and have home field advantage throughout the playoffs with a victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and a loss by the Atlanta Falcons to the Carolina Panthers. Otherwise, they will enter the playoffs as a wildcard and earn the fifth seed.
Green Bay Packers can earn a wildcard berth and the sixth seed in the playoffs with a victory over the Chicago Bears or losses by the New York Giants to the Washington Redskins and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to the New Orleans Saints.
New York Giants are currently on the outside of the playoffs looking in. However, they still have a shot of winning a wildcard berth and the sixth seed with a victory over the Washington Redskins and a loss by the Green Bay Packers to the Chicago Bears.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers are currently on the outside of the playoffs looking in. However, they still have a shot of winning a wildcard berth and the sixth seed with a victory over the New Orleans Saints and losses by the Green Bay Packers to the Chicago Bears and the New York Giants to the Washington Redskins.
St. Louis Rams and Seattle Seahawks will play each other this Sunday night for the NFC West division title. The winner of that game will earn the fourth seed and host a first round playoff game.

DA BEARS.
The Bears have a lot to gain by beating the Packers, it's the fucking Packers. It use to be Chicago fans didn't really give a damn if the team had a losing record as long as the beat the fucking Packers. So, yeah there's a lot at stake for the Bears. To have beaten your division teams rivals twice during the season, come on!
Look I'm proud of Bears and people need to give it a rest about oh, they've been lucky. You play what is given and the Bears don't have any control over what happens on another team. If they had lost any of those games the same people would've been bitchin about they should've won. Sorry, Lovie Smith is the coach and he gets the credit . . . just like he would've gotten the blame if they had lossing season and didn't make the playoffs. Get over it!!!!

Don't talk to me no mo' Well, until after the game, my Bear's are going to the Packers.

You know i have to mess with you. The game is a toss up to be honest. If the Packers can manufacture some yards on the ground it will enhance their chances. I just think the Bears won't have any motivation to play their starters long because it's a given they will be the number two seed. The Falcons can start Bubby Brister at qb on Sunday and still beat the Panthers. Don't laugh at my funk

You should never mess with sista during pro football playoffs.
Don't the Packers have to win to make it to the playoffss. Believe me Chicago fans aren't going to be happy if Lovie pulls Bears starters. But yeah it's a toss up, though my coin is blowing closer to Da Bears side.

The bears will not risk getting Jay Cutler hurt. Jay doesn't play much into the second quarter. Believe me Clay Matthews will hurt this guy if he plays in the second half. Don't laugh at my funk

I also think Biran Urlacher, Lance Briggs, and Julius Peppers will be pulled early in the second quarter too, even though they would all be more than willing to play the whole game. Lovie owon't want to risk getting his star defensive players hurt before the playoffs, reagdless of how badly he wants to beat the Packers.

Lovie said the staters are playing, that's what I thought save me, oh someone may get hurt. That's a punk move. Did it help Colts, hell no.
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
Lovie is thinking if he can beat the Packers now,he won't have to see them in the playoffs..... And he has a week to rest his players...I don't think the Pats are resting any players either...
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
The difference is that the Colts don't play their starters at all in meaningless games. Hell they got to the big game last year with that philosophy. They just didn't finish the final 30 minutes. But like i said play pussy and get fucked. (excuse my language) If Lovie attempts to play Cutler that whole game, Clay will see to it that someone will carry his ass off the field on a stretcher. Don't laugh at my funk

Cutler butt can be hold off at anytime this game or the next one. This is the Black and Blue Divison: Oo, ouch I'm hurt or I'm gonna to get hurt. Chicago has an outside chance to get the No. 1 stop if Falcons and Saint's lose and if they beat the Packers. This is a must win for the Packers to make it to the playoffs. You think Chicago gonna allow them to slide on by? It ain't happin'
Reading the paper this morning Packers and Bears players are talkin' trash, just like they should be, this is gonna be good.

Right now, things are looking pretty good for the Packers, as the Atlanta Falcons are putting a huge beatdown on the Carolina Panthers (31-3 at the moment). However, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are beating the New Orleans Saints, so the Packers absolutely have to win this game against the Bears. Either way, it's got to be horrible news for the Giants as the Bears will have nothing to play for and despite Lovie Smith' protestations, he will most likely pull his starters by the second quarter, thus nearly guaranteeing a Packers victory.

PACKERS 10 BEARS 3
Green Bay Packers win the final playoff spot in the NFC.
For the Bears fans:
For the Giants and Buccaneers fans:
BTW, the Indianapolis Colts win the third seed in the AFC after defeating the Tennessee Titans. However, they would have won the division anyway because the Houston Texans beat the Jacksonville Jaguars.

at the Titans losing again. Now can we PLEEEEEAAAASSEE go get a real frikkin coach next year? ESPN analyst for saying there would be a line of teams around the block to hire Jeff Fisher. 5 winning seasons in 17 frikkin years? Yeah a shitload of teams want somebody like that at the helm.
On a more positive note I read that Nashville is gonna habve a lingerie football team in 2012. Maybe Fisher can go coach them. Win or lose who gives a damned. It's chicks in their drwers playing football. Who needs a scoreboard? I'm sick and tired of the Prince fans being sick and tired of the Prince fans that are sick and tired!
