TO said Donovan was having a panic attack and throwing up in the huddle. Something funky was going on in the 4th quarter.

My guess is McNabb winds up in Arizona.

He would make Fitzgerald a happy man.

I think McNabb WAS great, but Andy Reed and the rest of the Eagles brass may have known what they were doing when they let him go. It's kind of hard to not believe that at this point. That Super Bowl especially was pretty hard to watch. But I'm sure he'll be a starter on another team next year. Pretty sure he's better than whatever it is we're calling a QB in San Francisco.

As a huge Eagles fan, I think most Eagles fans are just being ridiculous. McNabb certainly isn't perfect, but he's done more with less than practically any QB in NFL history. How many of his best years were wasted because the team refused to get even a decent receiver and commit to the run? I mean, the best receiver he had for 2+ years was Chad Lewis! That Super Bowl didn't end well for the Eagles, but McNabb did a lot of great things that night (without Lewis, I might add). Bottom line: the man is a playmaker. I'm hoping he ends up in the AFC next season.

The less said about that idiot T.O., the better. I have nothing but respect for him coming back and playing in the big game. Everything since that point is a different story.

You're exactly right about McNabb. This dude has had to carry the Eagles on his back

for most of his career with receivers like James Thrash, Hank Bassett, and Todd Stinkston.

Even during the super bowl season when T.O was there, T.O was injured during the

playoffs and McNabb still had to carry them. Eagle fans act as though they've been big

winners before McNabb. They had a few good seasons with Jaworski at qb and they were

talented during the Buddy Ryan era but always playoff busts. McNabb has been the Eagles

most successful qb in history.

I would love to see him in Miami. That's a good fit.

Donovan needs to do his homework and find a team that suits him. Accuracy has never been his strong suit, which is what put him in Shanahan's dog house. And there were questions about his stamina and being out of shape. Personally, I think the dude should retire. Andy Reid and the Eagles' front office knew what they were doing, it seems. The fact that they traded Donovan to a hated division rival shows you they felt he was done.

The last few years may be the case but in Donovan's prime he was always in the

top 10 in terms of accuracy. One season he had the highest td to int ration in the

league.

You're right, accuracy hasn't been his strong suit, but he's been much better when he's had receivers who can actually catch (64% with TO, over 60% with DeSean Jackson). (Funnily enough, his career completion percentage is significantly higher than Rex Grossman's.) I don't believe there's any reason for him to retire. Living in Redskins country, I see a lot of their games. He's made a number of fantastic plays this season (including some against my Eagles, like the scramble that basically won the first game). He looks to have a lot left in the tank - I'd say at least 3 years.

The Eagles generally get rid of players before they reach the end of the line (Westbrook, Dawkins, Sheldon Brown, Duce Staley, etc.). I think trading 5 to Washington says more about that roster than anything. Don is great, but he can't make chicken salad out of chicken shit.

This is the part people fail to mention. In contrast, Brett Favre has a lot of weapons on offense and has failed miserably this season.

Where's SCNDLS on this whole issue? I'd think she'd be jumping up an ddown for joy knowing that her Cowboys will beat the smack out of Rex Grossman and the Redskins this weekend. woot! Rex Grossman is just like Jay Cutler except for the fact that he throws tons of interceptions when he get no pressure in his face.

yeahthat I really like Donovan, but I KNEW when they brought Mike Vick in last year they had ZERO respekt for him and dealing him away how they did just confirmed it. I'm not sure where he SHOULD go. But you know the perception of him is in the crapper and I'm not sure he can overcome that.

Chile, I know these fuckas. If ANY team knows how to give away a win it's these fools. They should be 5-0 for the last 5 games but continue to leave hella points on the field. That type o' shit, the penalties, and sorry ass corners will let any team sneak up on ya. I'ma be cautiously pessimistic. lol

Wasn't McNabb in the Pro Bowl last year?...he hasn't turned into a complete bum overnight....he needs to go to a run-oriented team..San Fran would be good for him in that horrible NFC west, where he might not have alot pressure...

On the Washington sports radio, they're talking about Shanahan never wanted Mc Nabb, he wanted to try and draft Sam Bradford..his power struggle with the owner is what this is all about..Snyder signed Mc Nabb without his blessing, now he's putting McNabb to third string to basically lose out and get the young QB he wanted last year...,just a big ole mess...

nod These egomaniacal coaches chap my hide. pissed

The nutthuggin' press always trynna put these damn coaches on a pedestal. Just like a player's best playing days can be behind them I think the same applies to coaches. Shanahan's been coaching like a rookie and playing all these mind games with Donovan. SAME shit Parcells did with TO because Jerry went and got him. Nevermind he was the most productive wideout since Irving, that the players loved him, and that Parcells didn't do shit the four years he was here. But the media still made the issue about the player rather than the coach's disrespectful tactics.

Shanahan is an idiot for going to Washington in the first place. He'll never win with Snyder running the team. He's a disaster.

Great NFL wekkend - lots of big games with playoff implications, the biggest being Eagles/Giants. The wild card's not coming from the NFC East, so it's a MUST win for the G-Men. Jets/Steelers, Chiefs/Rams, Jags/Colts, Saints/Ravens, Packers/Patriots, Lions/Bucs, Bears/Vikings - December football is when you separate the men from the boys.

Holy crap! omg omfg I was out visiting a friend for the Christmas holiday and missed all of the wild NFL action today. Apparently I missed the Eagles scoring 4 touchdowns in the final 8 minutes to win the game, I missed the Jets somehow finding their groove and beating the Steelers, and I missed those Cowboys beating the Redskins.

BTW, it looks like the Bears just aren't going to catch all the breaks they need to make the playoffs. Granted, they're going to play the Vikings outdoors, where they haven't played at home in the elements in 29 years, plus they are absent Brett Favre, Tavaris Jackson, and maybe Adrian Peterson. However, the field will be frozen solid, and they're expecting another 5 to 8 inches of snow to fall in Minneapolis tomorrow. Plus it looks like the Jets have their mojo back, and the Packers are hanging in there against the Patriots. sigh

Tough loss for the steelers. Good game. Jets made the plays they had to for the win.

The NFL notified the steelers 1 hr after the game that they have

qualified for the postseason despite the loss. Hopefully they will

win out and clinch the division and number 2 seed in the AFC.
