How about the fact that New England just utterly and completely destroyed them! lol They may take it, but I was NOT impressed with that performance.

The scary thing going into today's game was that the Bears had an outside shot of having the best record in the NFC at the end of the season and getting home field advantage throughout the playoffs. What was equally scary was the fact that Bears could just as easily miss making the playoffs this year. In reality, a lot of fans couldn't see the former happening, but they very well see the latter scenario coming to fruition. Sure, Jay Cutler had a crappy game overall, but this was basically after Tom Brady shredded apart the vaunted Bears defense. Even if the Bears reach the playoffs, it's probably more than likely that they exit immediately, regardless of whether they are the wildcard or even get a first round bye.

As long as Lovie is coach, the Bears will be posers.

My overall impression of today is that every team other than New England leveled out and played pretty average. Even those that won, like Jacksonville, still had to score 38 against the Raiders to do it. Nobody had a real ass kicking win other than the Pats. Even MORE reason for the Giants to step up and show something tomorrow night.

OK, I won't be a hater. SD played well, but I'm not a believer. You can't play half the time and win a championship.

Well, I'd say the Falcons are the class of the NFC. If they get home field, they'll be tough to beat. But the Saints are making their move, and they're getting healthier.

Saints are good, but they should be better. They should kill a team like the Rams in the first quarter. But you're right, they've had injuries and they are improving. I'll buy Atlanta as the class of the NFC, but only if they're on sale. lol It's still the Falcons, they've got to prove it to me, because I'm a doubter right now. Half their games have been against good teams, though. I don't know - they may be for real.

As long as the Falcons have home field advantage in the dome and good health, i can

see them having a legitimate shot at making it all the way. Could be last years Saints

with a better running game which is a better recipe if you're facing a team like New

England in the Super Bowl. But yes the Falcons do have some shortcomings defensively.

151 receiving yards for Branch, 115 for Welker, in the fucking snow no less - WTH??? So much for missing Randy Moss. Pats are getting hot at the right time, while the Jets are faltering. Jets have road games at Pittsburgh and at Chicago - not good.

Giants have to handle their business tonight.

Ok. sigh My professional opinion is that Jeff Fisher really has lost his damned mind.

http://blogs.tennessean.c...e-streaks/

“Obviously the difficulty we had last year I think was a little different than what we’re going through now,” Fisher said. “We had stability at the quarterback position. We had injuries at other positions.

“It’s hard to draw parallels. The bottom line is we’re getting beat and we’re not winning games. That’s unacceptable.”

Is this year’s streak more challenging to deal with because it’s happening later in the season?

“It’s hard to say whether it’s a bigger challenge or not,” Fisher said. “It’s a challenge, but they’re going to come back and they’re going to play hard. Just like they did last night.

“People wrote them off after Jacksonville and they came back and they played hard last night. They’re going to come back and play hard, with tremendous effort.”

sigh A few comments...

Yup, the stability at the QB position last year was Kerry Collins.

That's the same quarterback you have now.

I think the parallels are pretty dang easy to draw.

The man just won't quit. He's turned into such a farce and comically embittered and paranoid that he really needs therapy. He's a mediocre coach with a mediocre team doing a poor job this year. Only the Titans would stand for this type of mediocrity.....Time for Fisher to go. A change is needed, for all involved.

Instability at qb? ....Is that a JOKE FISHER?...You Sir started the instability a qb!....Remember the Steelers game?...When you pulled the qb?...When asked after the game ,did Vince's feeling come into your decision to pull him?...You said "I was not thinking of Vince's feelings and that you were trying to win the football game".You said"Kerry as more experince aganist defenses like that and he gave the team the best chance to win".
Perhaps the miami game, where you thought Vince was not healthy enough to START but was healthy enough to be the number 2.That was a low blow seeing that we were in 1st place and VY had the top qb ratig in the league. You seen fit to give KC the limelight off of the fruits of VY's labor.
Then the Skins game where VY came out to get his thumb looked after and thought he would be coming back in to finish the game but like a snake in the grass you used the opportnity to belittle him.
Then you insult the fans intelligence by stating that "you did not know VY wanted to come back in the game"...Thats like Bud telling Dinger to coach the team after you put Mannings jersey on and then saying afterward that he did not know you wanted to be the coach...What a Joke of a Coach.

Kerry Collins is wait for it...

1 win and 11 LOSSES in his last 12 starts.

How is Kerry Collins in any SANE coach's mind a "best chance to win"?

Kerry Collins is 14–16 with the Titans, that is a below .500 losing record.

Vince Young is 30–17 with the Titans.

The Titans with Vince Young are 12–6 in the last 2 years.

The Titans with Kerry Collins and Rusty are 1–10 in the last 2 years.

Its pretty clear Vince Young was the Titan's best chance to win.

So why has Fisher instigated the drama with Vince, by the; unnecessary benchings, grudge, and back stabbing press leaks?

This losing debacle, is Fisher's responsibility and he is a major part of it.

I hope you are right and that Fisher will be gone, but I seriously doubt it. Bud Adams expects VY and Fish to work together. So I doubt he will get rid of either before their contracts end next year. Bud did go on record and she that he is not making any decisions until the end of the year, so he can process everything. By that time I ope enough fans continue to raise hell so that it Bud can see what the real problems are, so he can see how Fisher's ego destroyed the team and potentially impacting Bud's $$$.

My thing with the Falcons is long term. They've had many great teams and great players over the years, but where's the payoff? I'm a doubter about teams like that until they prove they can finish as an organization. That's why I think the Patriots look so strong right now. They know what it's going to take and appear to be headed down that path (again).

Really? Been away from the internet and tv today. About to turn it on. Doesn't really make a huge difference, though. He wasn't coming back next year so the streak was going to end either way.
