Teens’ Facebook Feud Turns Deadly

Teens’ Facebook Feud Turns Deadly

ARLINGTON, Texas - Police said an online feud led to a public fist fight and then murder in Arlington over the weekend.

Though they were Facebook friends, witnesses told police that 19-year-old Alysha Tann and 18-year-old Nikki Bogan’s friendship had turned ugly. They were “beefing” on Facebook.

Then on Sunday night the two young women got into a fist fight in the parking lot of the Heather Glen Townhomes in Arlington.

An arrest warrant affidavit states Bogan lost the fight and then told her 20-year-old boyfriend, Darius Howard, to shoot Tann.

A witness saw him shoot a handgun six or seven times in the direction of Tann and a crowd of people in the parking lot, according to the affidavit.

Another person who was shot in the leg then drove Tann to the hospital where she died.

Tann’s Facebook page is now filled with R.I.P. posts.

Her accused killers are in the Arlington jail.

Howard is charged with murder and aggravated assault and Bogan is charged with conspiracy to commit murder

This is ridiculous! I've been saying from the beginning, Facebook is toxic and causes so much trouble. Children don't need to be on these sites anyway without being monitored by their parents. But honestly, these people are adults, not exactly teens, so they shouldn't even be talked about any differently than any other adult that commits a crime!

Prince is GORGEOUS. I'm inspired. GOD is GREAT. Is there anything else to say? lol

It isn't Facebook. It's the idiots who use it. rolleyes

We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

What is up with these kids and their guns? Fistfighting in a townhome parking lot? Lovely!

It seems dumb for this news article to brand this with "Facebook". It could easily be "Heather Glen townhomes feud", or whatever high school's name they go to. It's pretty stupid to think this wouldn't have happened without facebook, when teens fighting and some youth killing with a gun has been happening before Facebook.

Facebook is just as harmful as a mall or a schoolyard in terms of people fighting or being stalked. In other words, it can't be singled out.

Absolutely.

But the media loves to blame new tech for old problems. Video games/Manson for Columbine. Facebook for violence, bullying and adultery.

None of this is to blame. The world is simply smaller and more crowded and the humans on it are pieces of shit like they always were.

Well from what I got from the article, the argument started on Facebook and then ended up in the parking lot. So there's no way possible that the author of the article could leave Facebook out of the story. I agree that the problem isn't facebook, but with the folks who use it. Even if you took FB out the equation, it's still possible that the incident would have happened anyway. disbelief

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

Parents aren't being Parents, that's the problem.

I have a 8yr old son and I monitor everything he does. When he's a teenager, I'll follow him around unbeknown to him, of course and if he PROOVES he cannot be trusted of course.

I remember my mom and pops advising me they were all in my business and I had no idea 85% of the time. When I did know, I would complain to my so called friends and 'peoples' but, I turned out okay, now it's 'my' turn to raise a child and do what they taught me, that's key ...

Our generation (thoz old enough to have kids, are dropping the ball) need to handle their business !!!

Peace ... & Stay Funky ...
