My youngest (age 8) is a bit of a potty mouth. He repeats what he hears (especially teh naughty stuff) and has gotten in trouble for it many times.

So, now he's gotten into "censuring" himself.

He will say; "That's *boop*'ed up!" or "What the *boop* are you talking about?"

He actually makes the *boop* sound that you hear on TV or radio when something in censured.

How can I possibly get mad at him for being so damned cunning & smart? Plus, he cracks me up inside when he does it (even though officially I tell him to stop it).

Kids.

Who else here has/knows smart-ass kids?

They are smart asses!

Now that their old enough to read, you can't spell stuff out to whoever you're talking to anymore.

Now the kids just spell out the words all the time too.

Ha! My kid's been doing that for about a year now. It's hilarious.

my oldest (6) son has taken a liking to saying why or what has just "pissed him off" it's not funny but it's hard not to laugh.

my 3 year old gets mad at his brother and calls him a stupid sucker idiot sounds like stupid fucking idiot sometimes....ugh!

I'm pretty laid back about language....freakin', sucks, sucker, crap, that kinda stuff doesn't bother me but I tell them to not ever use it to a grown up or at school and such.

I don't believe they are "bad" words...I just tell them they are grown up words and not for kids to use.

Seriously, my girls are awesome. My youngest is the most sassy, but they're not major limit tester at this time.

Yesterday, one of my coworkers had her 12 yr old grandson with us at lunch.

He was *ACK*. You could tell he was a handful.

He's a good kid, all the teachers love him and he attracts friends, but sometimes he's just a bit too smart for his own good.

Two things I will never forget;

1) when he was like 3 or 4 years old (seriously, just barely talking), we were in a store and a rather large woman walked past us in the aisle. He followed her with his eyes, then looked up at me and (in the loudest voice he could manage) said; "Dad! That lady was HUGE!"

I nearly crawled outta my skin. Made a clear exit out of the store.

2) he must've been like 5 or 6 years old and we're at the store. He and his brother (4 years older) walk down the aisle towards the "toys" section. I'm standing nearby with an eye on them. They pass the magazines and he pulls his brother back and discreetly points to a magazine with a grin. He doesn't realize I'm watching of course. His brother's like "Cool!" and walks away. So I walk over and see for myself...it was one of those GQ magazines with a half-naked woman (the Jennifer Anniston one maybe?).

He's gonna be a handful.
