It's just a promotional poster for bands playing. There are two...Of Montreal and Janelle Monae. Artists come up with concepts all of the time and well, this one came up with Prince riding a praying mantis! | |

The things he found. Therefore, everything seen–every object, that is, plus the process of looking at it–is a Duchamp. | |

I was wondering the exact same thing. We all know how Prince throws a little purple hissy fit whenever he thinks someone is using his image/name/music/whatever without his permission. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you. | |

I saw Of Montreal and Janelle on October 29 at The Warfield in San Francisco. They played one Prince track and one Apollonia 6 track before Janelle hit the stage. They also played Cool before Of Montreal hit the stage. I may have that backwards. they may have played Cool before Janelle's set and Sex Shooter before Of Montreal's set but either way it was obvious that both acts dig Prince. I didn't see any poster at the show I attended. |
