It is easier, but having a FWB doesn't mean that you forget about love....you just don't love them.

Plus you get regular uncomplicated sex and then when you're ready for commitment and monogamy you drop the fuck buddy and spend time with someone you do love.

I guess it's okay if you don't have someone steady... Right now, I occasionally hook up with my ex. The emotional connection was broken a long time ago, but the sex was always good. Once I find someone else, he's done.
