we have tons of games already, in a box in the wardrobe waiting for them to do chores to "unlock" as we call it
they are currently playing Mario Galaxy 2
I like super mario galaxy 2!!! waiting for the wand thing to charge even as we speak... |

My 2 don't know what they want either. Cody saw an advert for a kids ice-cream maker and asked for that, but I know she'll get bored of that after one go (like she did with the chocolate egg maker). All Ben (age 4) wants is chocolate When I get time i'll take them to a toy shop so they can get inspired.
I'm getting my nephew a slushie maker, which is good for summer I suppose, but it takes up so much space! |

How about Australian Open tennis tickets and a couple of good racquets and balls and some tennis lessons? Then again, they probably have no interest whatsoever in tennis.

we always get free tickets to the open each year, and every year they scream and don't want to go!! |

what a coincidence!!! My kid has just now, after looking through a catalogue, expressed some interest in that
I think he will be getting that and an IOU for this:

that comes out in Feb.
The master says the little guy is interested in taking pictures, I wonder if there is a digital kids camera for about $50?

my 9 year old wants a type writer...so i found one on ebay for $25 ($3 USA hahaha)
now i need to get ribbon for it
she likes to pretend she is a writer....so cute
My 12 year old wants a clarinet ... this is going to be hard as she is a great musician and i really want to spoil her and get her an expensive top of the range one, that will last forever, her current one was cheap and is crap ...so it looks like i will need to find $800
My 15 year old just wants wants wants...the list is too long
you r lucky that they don't know...it is a blessing in disguise
NO WAY!!! My 13 year old wants a typewriter to!
what is it with kids wanting things that don't get made anymore? i thought she was the only one...getting them on ebay is easy, finding ribbon , now that is going to require santas help With my daughter being 13 I was just straight up with her & asked her if she still wanted one without the ribbon. Of course I had to explain to her why the ribbon is important. LOL. She wanted to know if she could still press the keys. She's so damn cute. I'm firmly planted in denial |

In some way, Charlotte, I like what that says about your boys. I bet most kids are so self-centered about Christmas that they know 9 months in advance what they want -- color, size, viable substitutes, order of importance, etc.
...Not that I can altogether blame them. Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου

Thanks! I don't blame them either, they realise that all that stuff advertised to them on Saturday morning cartoons is mainly junk that will fall apart or not hold their interest.
The way we do Christmas at our place is that with each of our (mine and the masters) families we do kriskringle, so that each person gets a maximum of 2 presents, and each person also has to GIVE 2 presents each. There has been much more of a concentrated effort thinking of gifts for each other than the ones we are to receive ourselves. Oscar and Max only wanted one thing in particular, so they are having a LOT of trouble thinking up anything else!

it makes our summer go too fast. It seems like our winter is endless, not being punctuated by any special occasions. |

I don't have to get them anything, but my mother in law and sister have drawn these 2 kids out of a hat for kriskringle. |
