Going to a wine tasting party tonight...quick!

Recommend a wine for me to bring! It has to be under $20 (that's the rule for this party).

There's a nice vintage called Buckfast they sell in the UK. It's has heady perfume with a full body. Perfect for these winter nights. I'd bring a bottle of that if you can find it.

RodeoSchro

Red Rooster, or something like that. Coppola makes some good wine at that price, too.

Rodney Strong is usually under $20, and I always love it.

The cabernet. I'm not a big fan of whites.

I also don't love merlot. The pinot is really good, though.

If it were me, I'd go with the $19.95 cabernet listed there.

If you can, try to find Castano Monastrell or Hecula Monastrell. Spanish wines from the same region. Lush, fruity, not too tannic. The Hecula is somewhat better, but harder to find. You may be able to land the Castano for under 10 bucks.

I took two bottles of this to Thanksgiving and everyone loved it.

It's too bad you don't have any Trader Joe's stores in Canada; otherwise, I'd suggest you buy the Charles Shaw wines that sell for $2.99 apiece. They're known as three buck Chuck wines here in the USA, but several wine magazines have rated their taste and texture to be superior to about 80% of all wines produced.
