Celtics are at the Garden tonight, Miami visits on Friday. Now we'll see what the Knicks are made of.

Shit, that was a tough loss. Knicks got robbed. If you look at the replay of Pierce's shot, the ball goes thru the hoop with 0.6 left enough time for Amar'e to take the same shot and make it count.

Great game, but Amare does not have the quickest shooting motion. Never has, unless he's dunkin' on somebodies head. Not sure they were robbed, though, because that's how games play out all season long. They only review the for time if a clock is hitting zero. Sometimes it's just as important for a good team to shake a loss like this off and keep playing well as it is to get the win.

Knicks need another scoring big man to go with Amar'e, along with another point guard. Toney Douglas is more of a 2.

They were robbed. According to the rules, the clock should have stopped after Pierce's shot.

I understand what you're saying, but the clock runs like that for every team all season long. In the end it all equals out. So I still don't think they were robbed. A phantom foul call, or a no call, maybe - but not the clock.

I always hated that bullshit clock shot with the NBA. What the fuck is 3 tenths and two

tenths of a second. One second is one second.

I also read he has small feet for a dude his size, which contributes to his problems. Too bad - I always liked his game.

Yao said during his last rehibilitation that he would retire if he had another major setback/injury because the REHAB is just too difficult. Playing seems to come naturally to him mentally and physically, so it's too bad his body can't do what his brain wants it to do. But judging from that interview the rehab has really worn him down.

I'm wondering the same about Greg Oden. Talk about bad luck.

I can't even imagine how hard it would be to go through so many "career threatening" injuries, spend a year (or more) succesfully rehabing and then get another of the same type injury. Grant Hill is the only one I can think of who has ever done it and still looked normal on the other side. But he's so much smaller than Oden and Yao. Oden seems to still be riding the positivity train - or at least that's the front he puts on for the public. Yao lost that a couple injuries ago. It's clearly affected him mentally.

So whats up with tonights game? Seems like all the so called "experts" are calling for a hostile crowd and a Heat victory. I just hope it's a good game after that Boston loss.

Damn, I actually forgot a...ke Miller. If he comes back with his outside shot intact, stretching defenses, the Heat could be scary.

A lot of Knicks fans are fucking dopes. For two years, they fawned over LeBron, begging him to come here. Now they hate his guts because he spurned them. You can understand the hostility from Cavs fans, but Knick fans are ridiculous with this shit. And that goes for the Jordan-ass-kisser Spike Lee too. Fraud.

But they'll get killed inside against the Celtics, Magic and Lakers.

I agree with you (other than the Magic - they're fakin' it), but that's really no different now. And if the Heat are putting up 120 that won't really matter. Miller is (was) a solid scorer who doesn't need to work with the ball. He should improve their offense, IF he can fit in with the recent chemistry they've found. If he can slide in there and average 10-12 a night they'll be hard to beat.

Well I'm glad you feel that way. I don't think he ever said he was going to NY. Always makes me laugh when Knick's fans hate on Spike. lol

Is it me or has this season of NBA b'ball been great and fun to watch. The quality of play hasn't been this good since the late 70's . . . since the Laker's / Boston rivalry of the early 80's. cool (IMHO)

Here in NYC, more folks are into the NBA because the Knicks are winning after ten years of ineptitude.

Just heard on WFAN there might be a blockbuster trade involving Gilbert Arenas to the Magic for Vince or Lewis! Stay tuned...
