Are you sure about that (despite that I as a Michael Jordan-fan wish you were right!)?
1. Kobe was still a high school senior during his rookie season in the NBA. Because of that alone, Kobe (at the current age of 32) still has plenty of time in his career to show why he believe he is better than Michael based on specific circumstances.
2. Kobe once scored 81 points in a game, a career high that is only match by Wilt's 100 points in one game. Michael has NEVER scored in a regular season game higher that 68 points.
MEMO: In all fairness to Michael, defensive hand-checks were still legal game tactics during his career timeline in the NBA.
3. Michael has 6 NBA championship rings + 2 gold metals. So far, Kobe has 5 NBA championship rings + 1 gold metal. Kobe has within the next 8 years BEFORE his 40th birthday to match and/or surpass Michael's winning record stats.
4. Michael had 6 NBA Final appearences. Kobe had 7 NBA Final appearences thus far. This means that Kobe has been to the NBA Finals more often than Michael.

Can't wait for the Cavalier-Heat game Thursday night. Sadly, I'm sure the bowling alley will have the Texans' game on TV instead.

It's a bowling alley. They have three TVs but only one cable subscription, so all the TVs show the same thing.
But, maybe they don't get the NFL channel, and I'll be in luck!

Classy! Cleveland and the owner really need to get over this shit.
CLEVELAND (AP)—Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert insists he has moved on from LeBron James(notes). But on to what? Gilbert has reportedly enlisted a law firm to investigate the circumstances leading to James leaving Cleveland to sign with the Miami Heat this summer. Yahoo! Sports reported on Wednesday that Gilbert has paid hundreds of thousands of dollars to a Midwestern law firm to investigate suspicions that the Heat broke NBA tampering rules while pursuing James, who left the Cavs after seven seasons to join fellow stars Chris Bosh(notes) and Dwyane Wade(notes) in Miami. The timing of the report is interesting since James will return to play in Cleveland for the first time on Thursday night, in what promises to be a hostile Quicken Loans Arena. On Tuesday, Gilbert, who was highly critical of James following the superstar’s televised announcement in July, was asked about his emotions heading into the reunion with the two-time league MVP. “I’m over it,” he said. “I really am. That’s the truth. I let it all out in about 24 hours. I just think we have such a great core and a great coaching staff. We have a lot of opportunities with the trade exception and the draft. I feel good about this team.”

Interesting. Pippen is a HOF player and has 6 titles. Who came up with this dumb ass list?
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
Just goes to show that even the HOF makes mistakes sometimes, although I do understand why the good people of Cleveland would want to lump one quitter in with another.

why are people surprised that they arent running away with things?? just because you take great talents and put them together that doesnt win you WIN. Im glad they arent winning like that, but i mean look at the Yankees, all those millions and billions, and everyone thought with Arod they would always win, they have one once, been elminated all the other years. These sports are team sports, this isnt a tennis match where if Roger Federer shows up thats the only talent needed on the court, for the other sports baseball, football, basketball, it all needs to gel, get used to this Miami fans, i doubt that this is the year, it usually takes 3 years for these things to gel. Screw Cleveland, Dan Gilbert and those 'fans'. LeBron James put that franchise on the map, and made millions for the owner. Now they're back to being 'NBA Siberia' just like the Clippers.

Maybe the players know the REAL deal on the organization's inner workings and have greater insight as to why he did what he did and don't hold it against him. The general public will never know what was really going on but they still wanna crucify him for making a business decision. But I think something personal happened with the owner while he was there to make him bounce the way he did. Hell, mo' power to him.

I'm sayin'.
Dude gave them seven years, then moved on, which is his right.
Hopefully Gilbert and his whining fans will STFU after getting their asses handed to them. Prince, in you I found a kindred spirit...Rest In Paradise.

Unless they were forced out (Wilt Chamberlain) who else has left their team? PRINCE: Always and Forever

This is truly the dumbest shit I've ever heard. Who doesn't want to go to a team with all-stars that give him the best chance to win a ring? Isn't that the whole point of playing? No, he's supposed to suffer in futility cuz that's the noble thing to do. GTFOH with that mess!
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
Who wants to join up with the best players, it's all about competition.
Why didn't Jordan join Magic or Bird, he coud have won instead of suffering in Chicago for 7 seasons before finaly winning a title.
LeBron was on a 66 and 61 win team the past two seasons. He made it to the Finals the season before those other two. It's not like he was Tracy McGrady in Orland barley getting a lil over 40 wins a season and he wanted a change. Dude had the best records in the league the past two seasosn, was MVP the past two season, was the scoring champ the season before. Get out of here with that "he was suffering on a bad team" nonsence.
He took the easy road which was to join forces with D-Wade and Chris Bosh in Miami, it's that sinple. It's that simple, he messed up his legacy. He can win champioships for the rest of his career, this move will still e looked down on. What other great left his former team to join up with two other top 15 players (and Wade a top 3 player) for some easy rings.
Magic- nope Bird- nope Russell- nope Jordan- nope Hakeem- nope Kobe-nope Duncan- nope Robertson- nope (Oscar played in Cinncinatti for ten plus seasons before being traded to the Bucks with Kareem. Oscar was already past his prime and the Royasl weren't muc of a team by the time he was traded) West and Baylor- nope Erving- nope
Now you have Wilt, Kareem, Moses, Shaq, Barkley.
Now Shaq did leave like LeBron, but he wasn't joining up with a trio like Wade and Bosh. When he went to LA, there were no All-Stars on the team. Eddie Jones and Van Exel were in like their 2nd seasons and Kobe hadn't even been drafted by the Hornets yet.
Kareem won a title in Milwuakee already and when he was traded, Robertson had retired.
Wilt had won a title with the 6ers the season before he got traded.
Moses played for some bad Rocket teams in the early 80s. They were even bad the season they got to the Finals, 41-41 I believe. The Rockets traded hom the next season.
Barkley like Moses, was a part of Bad Sixer teams. Barkey was traded to the Suns after missing the playoffs in 92. PRINCE: Always and Forever
