depends how bad they're hurt. i might frown or get angry, or sulk and brood, or just cry. i've learned to take a really long deep breath and not let it hurt too much though.

this too shall pass

Go to one of those "Seize the clay" places, or somewhere that does ceramics. Ask if they have any broken pieces they are throwing in the trash. Tell them you just need to get out some frustration, and ask if you can have them to go throw against a wall somewhere.

Then go throw them against a wall somewhere. God it feels good.

Other than that, I cry, or yell..

Enough pisses me off that I do like Jesus.....when I walk away I shake the dust off my shoes....

Sometimes I have to shake those shoes more than once lol

I get really angry. I want to slam and smash things. It feels shitty and I kind of wish I didn't get that way.

wouldnt it be better to immediately tell the person who hurt your feelings that they did, and then talk it out?

oh please. rolleyes where's the fun in that? that's not even colorful~! smile

I usually simmer until something else distracts me.

Usually I feel the urge to let that person have it.

Not horny "have it, but the verbal equivalent of shoot2

Depends on who's hurt my feelings though. If it's someone close and dear I might not go off on them but I pretty much always will call them out on it.

Feelings? confuse

lol Actually, I've learned to take pretty much nothing personally or too seriously. I also often think of this clip:

Depends on who said what. It it's someone in my immediate family, I will tell them immediately that I am hurt and ask them to explain why they felt the need to attack. If it's someone I work with or is not really important in my life, it would depend on the circumstance. I probably wouldn't lash out because I would try to first assess why I was attacked or criticized. If it was because of something I might have said or done to make that person defensive, then I would talk it over and apologize if I was at fault. If they just came out of the blue and said something mean or disparaging, I would ask them why they felt they felt the need to do it. That usually surprises muhfuggas and leaves them stammering like fools. Usually something like, "I'm really surprised to hear you say such a thing. Does it make you feel bigger to degrade people? Are you that insecure that you have to belittle people to make yourself feel better? no no no!

I too I'm kind of in a one day Im up , next I'm down...so I might cry, then eat ice cream (always makes me feel better)..then lash out at the person closest to me especially if I didnt get to do it to the person who upset me...then feel like such an asshole..then I'm back to sad again...I hate being moody its very exhausting.

hmmm

When I get my my feelings hurt, as soon as the words that hurt me are spoken I get quiet and still. I do not yell or scream when I argue.

When I hear shit that pisses me off, I get quiet and my mind stops, like a clock stopping at that moment to take account and engrave it in my mind, and never forget.

Then the "quiet" turns into anger and I work it off in a positive way.

I don't. Pride is part of the reason for that.

Thats me too, even though its not healthy.

This past year I tended to shrug off whatever comes my way, best bullshit blocking ever. That being said, I leave an open door of communication to a handful people,,,,,,the ones who value my energy and won't let it go to waste if I choose to spare it.

And vice versa. Thats why I'm not blunt anymore, its much easier to hurt people with your words than uplift them.

I blog a lot. Write poems, do an "analysis" of the situation, and just get deep in myself. It's always about writing. Sometimes I dress for it or alter my mood/habits. But since I'm kinda introverted to begin with, my dad is usually the only one who can tell if I'm truly depressed or something.

It's weird. I don't have to say word one. He just...knows. eek And since he's a sweet ol' man, he'll do his best to drop some emotional wisdom on me. Usually about loving myself and forgetting one thing or another. I love him for that.

When I was still smoking, I'd light up. Smoke and daydream or something. When I was deeper into games, I'd play for hours slaying this and that until I felt better.

I usually grab my ipod and put on some Prince, while fighting back tears, which usually end up falling anyway when a song like "Somebody's Somebody" or "Purple Rain" come on. Music always makes me feel better...Prince has been an escape for quite awhile.

Prince is GORGEOUS. I'm inspired. GOD is GREAT. Is there anything else to say? lol

touched That's so heartwarming. My dad was like that. He hated to see me cry.

Off topic, and please don't take this the wrong way, but when I first saw your avatar, I thought it was a vijayjay. lol I swear that's what I thought it was at first, but then I thought, "No. No one would be that gross!" After lookiing much closer, I realized it's a broken heart. duh lol
