I had an impacted wisdom tooth as well, and it was infected. You might need some antibiotics, if it's infected pain medication won't do too much. If you keep eating all those pills please make sure you are eating, it can wreak havoc on your stomach!

You'll be fine once it's removed, but follow the doctors instructions. I got dry sockets and it was the worst pain in my entire life.

Oh and I also just got over a bad sinus infection. Pressure point massage on your face does WONDERS.

It IS infected so I couldn't have it removed today. It also killed the tooth in front of it from growing into it. So on Dec 6th, I get to have 3 teeth removed (2 wisdoms and that one back molar).

Ugh!! The dentist wasn't aware mine was infected so when they pulled it out I guess pus went flying everywhere!!

Stock up on ice cream and soft foods, and whatever you do, don't smoke or suck on straws after!

I'm having a tough time again.

Got bad last night, took some painkillers...was able to sleep but then BAM 6:30am - excruciating pain again and it's been bad all day today.

I've been taking so many Tylenol 3s that I can't even stay awake anymore.

I seriously can not believe how unbelievably shitty things are lately. Ya, ya...I know in the grand scheme of things I could be in a way worse situation...but shit, dealing with this type of pain sometimes makes me want to blow my head off (not really, but you know what I mean).

Yes, I can do that. And I love that...but I do always want it to eventually lead to the X-rated stuff.

But I am very, very affectionate with my son. No one else though.

OHIP? Are you in Ontario. Just go to emerg. U can't wait until the 6th. There are dental surgeons on staff/call and if you play it right, which sounds like you don't even have to - they WILL perform emerg surgery.

I see you're in Ottawa (my birth place). I'd go in a minute. Sounds like you've been on antib's and pain-killers for at least a week - yes? Tell them this and that you can't take it anymore. Act irrational. I've had friends get appt's bumped and next day surgery. For the infection, after surgery they can put you on a short term drip, if need be, then send you home with a script to finish. You may have to sit for a few hours before you're seen, but I'm sure you're a good actress. No need to suffer like this.

I didn't go to the hospital because I've only been on antibiotics for a couple of days. So I went to bed early and so far today it's tolerable.

If it's still bad on Monday, I'll go....unless it gets totally unbearable this weekend.
